Hiei... granted I haven't been following either series very well for quite a while... I'd say he would win. The whole jagon eye and turning GREEN and covered in eyes (totally freaky if you ask me) would not only increase his speed and power but also freak Vegeta out into submission, or at least startle him just long enough for Hiei to go demon on him... with the dragon thingie and the sword... yah... need to watch more anime...

Vegeta would own him. Think about it. Minor spoiler:when the portal was open, and Kurama and Hiei and the gang went through the portal into Demon world, they had to hold on to Kurama because he was able to fly from that plant. If not for Kurama, they would've been screwed.

Now take Vegeta. He gets thrown from like twice the distance... and on top of that, he gets enegry balls shot at him or a knee in the back as hits the ground, and is still able to get up alive.

How about being attacked? Yusuke defeated Hiei with his spirit gun. One shot. Of course, you might say "well, Hiei is much stronger now!). Well, even if you compared it to Vegeta when he wasn't as strong as he is now. I can't count the times Vegeta has been shot by enegry balls that were much worse than what Yusuke was able to provide.

And Vegeta is one tough bastard. He knows how to take a beating. Plus, Vegeta is one clever tactician. I'd say even more so than Hiei.

What about power? Hiei, even with his powers multiplied by 100, can't even amount to half the power Vegeta has. Vegeta can destroy the world with little effort. Especially in his SSJ4 form... SSJ4 Vegeta vs. Hiei? Hahahaha :laugh: . Vegeta would just be sitting there like the badass he is while Hiei gives it his all... which wouldn't even bruise Vegeta.

And Hiei's sword wouldn't even scratch Vegeta. Remember when Gohan broke Trunk's Z Sword? Well, Vegeta is much stronger than what Gohan was. Or how about when Gohan and Goku were TRAINING, and easily broke the sword? So Hiei would attack Vegeta and his sword would break. And Hiei's sword is one of his stronger attacks.

And if all else fails: Vegeta could go into self-destruction mode (like he did with Buu), and blow Hiei and himself to bits so nobody would win.

I could go on... but I think I've made my point :).

Vegeta doesn't lose because he sucks, he loses because theres always someone stronger than him.. and that someone is always someone he's fighting.

.. He's always been second best. Don't discard him because he always gets shafted and has to fight people that're insanely, or significantly better than him.

Throughout the series he does grow stronger mind you.. he might not have been able to beat freiza on namek but by time gohan was having that power struggle with perfect cell, he would be able to pwn that gender-challenged albino morphling without a hitch.

Vegeta is such a cool character ^_^ but he's always been over-shadowed by Goku because the latter was the hero of the series. Like Sesshomaru, I think Vegeta's really strong and is just cast wrong.

I hate Yu Yu? Then that must be why I have every episode (up to 103) on my computer? Well, actually, half of them were deleted; so Dark Toury saga and up?

But if you saw the Dark Tourny saga, then you'd see how Bui acually redirected the dark dragon back towards Hiei. Sure, the Dragon might be a little stronger now... but Vegeta could do this no problem, especially in SSJ 4 form. I love Yu Yu and DBZ, but the characters on DBZ are just extremely strong. I've yet to see in any anime (and I've seen a lot of them) to where any character could match DBZ. Kurama is the only one that could do anything, and that's if they'd actually let Kurama hit them with a seed.

And in the Ses vs. Yusuke thread, I said Ses would win, only because of his healing sword. If it would've been Inuyasha vs. Yusuke, Yusuke would've spanked him.

I don't think it'd be too hard for Vegeta to do something similar to Bui's battle aura. Vegeta is in incredible tactician, and probably's just as smart as Kurama. Maybe even smarter, who knows? So I think he'd be able to come up with something. If nothing, just teleport outta the way.

When Vegeta leveled up once, I believe I've seen it before, somebody said "if he keeps this up, he'll destroy the world." It might not've been Vegeta, but I do know the person was SSJ. And Vegeta is just as strong as Goku. But c'mon dude, destroying a world with your mere essence? I think that maybe in the early episodes of DBZ, when Goku still had the stick and when Vegeta was first introduced, maybe then Hiei and Vegeta would've actually had a good battle. But once Vegeta reached SSJ, he just became unbeatable. But SSJ 2? 4? Overkill.

Vegeta is arrogant, but I don't think arrogance means stupidity. It always makes him act quickly, sure, but he always has a plan. But when it comes to strategies, Vegeta would definetly rival Kurama. Vegeta was a saiyan elite, and I'm sure that not just anybody having the title of "elite" from the universe's most advanced race, means he's just some stupid, weak fool. And he was probably the strongest saiyan elite.

Kurama would've died in that match at the end, if not for Yoko. But what about Kurama? He was captured, and had to retreat into Human Realm. So he was pretty much dead... I mean, sure, he lived, but it was a defeat that was just as bad, if not worse, than being killed. And, as you said, Vegeta killed himself once. So I don't think that really counts, as if Vegeta really wanted to, he could've escaped. So they both had a death count of 1.

Well that was back then, because he wasn't SSJ3. But now, he's SSJ 4. And Buu had absorbed 3 of the Supreme Kais, which were each "1000 times stronger than Frieza." Plus Buu's own insane strength... And Goku wasn't even able to kill Freiza at SSJ 1.
