how did Leia tell Han that Darth Vader is her father?
maybe somethin like this...

There's something I need to tell you….

Han followed Leia into the little hut. The door flap fell closed behind him. She stood facing away from him, her eyes glancing over the various tiny utensils in the Ewoks home. There was still quite a commotion going on outside. The Deathstar's brilliant explosion had enthralled both rebel and Ewok alike.
Within minutes of the explosion, Lando had contacted Han over the com to let him know that both he and the Millennium Falcon had come through the battle with barely a scratch. Solo felt great relief over this, but was still concerned about Luke's whereabouts. Leia, on the other hand, wasn't worried about Luke at all. She was as sure he was safe as she was that she had found her brother.
Han had been more than pleasantly surprised when Leia told him that Luke was her brother. He had to laugh at himself for being so jealous of their intimate relationship. At least now it all made sense, for the most part. He assumed that Leia had pulled him away from the party so that they could talk about it.
He sat on one of the Ewoks small beds and waited for Leia to speak. She turned slowly and faced him. Finally she said, 'There's something I need to tell you. Something more than just Luke being my brother.'
From the look on her face Han could see that Leia was struggling with something. He wanted to be supportive, say something nice, but sweet words were never easy for him. 'I'm all ears,' he said crossing his arms across his chest.
Leia sighed and stared down at the floor. 'Luke and I were separated when we were very young. I didn't even remember him… but then again, I did. He was more than familiar, you know?'
Han nodded. 'You two always seemed to relate quite well.'
'We were separated for a reason. We had to be hidden… from our father.'
'From your father? But why?'
Leia was struggling with the words. They seemed to stick in her throat. She looked out a small window at the troops and Ewoks in the village square. The words slowly came out. 'Our father was a powerful Jedi. Maybe he was the most powerful Jedi ever. But something went wrong… terribly wrong. He was seduced by the dark side of the force.'
'The dark side of The Force?' Han sat forward a bit. 'So he was a bad guy?'
Leia closed her eyes. 'The worst.' She paused a moment looking intently at him and then, 'Han, Darth Vader is my father.'
'What??!!' Han was stunned.
Leia's face twisted painfully and she turned away from him. 'I know… I know how this sounds…'
Han got to his feet and stood close to Leia. 'This has got to be some kind of mistake. Who told you this crap anyway?'
Leia faced him. She stared into his eyes. 'Luke did. Right before he left to go and face Vader. It's what we were talking about when you found us on the bridge last night.'
Han stood gaping at her. Whatever she and Luke had been talking about last night had certainly upset her. Now he understood why. 'But… how does he know? Is he sure?'
Leia nodded slightly. 'I think he has known for a while now. I think he finally told me everything last night because he was going to confront him.'
A new worry crossed Han's mind. 'I'm sure Luke is alright. He would have found a way off of the Deatthstar before it blew. The kid is to smart to go and get himself killed.'
'He's fine,' Leia answered. 'I can feel it.' She took a deep breath. 'There's something else too. I feel like this great weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I think… I think Vader is dead.'
Han was reeling. How could she be relived over her father's death, even if he were Vader? He took hold of her arms. 'Look. Leia, you're just under a lot of pressure. The past 48 hours have put a stress on you.'
Leia cut him off. 'No that's not it. Don't you see? The Force is strong in my family. Look at what Luke can do, how he can sense things. I'm not anywhere near as good as Luke is, but I can sense certain things too. I felt it when he called out to me on Bespin. I believe him when he says he's my brother and Vader's my father. I can feel that it's true.' She exhaled. 'Just like now… I know Vader is dead.'
Han was trying to understand. He was never able to grasp the concept of the Force or its implications. To him it was parlor tricks and magic words, but Leia seemed so sincere. For her it was just as natural as speaking the facts. Vader, her father? Dead? It was a big pill to swallow. 'So… Luke killed him then? A Jedi battle to the death?'
Leia's head cocked to one side and her eyes glazed over as if she were searching for answers within. 'No. Luke didn't kill him, he saved him.'
Han looked at her confused. 'But I thought you said Vader was dead?'
Leia looked into Han's eyes. 'He is. Vader is dead, but before he died… Luke turned him away from the Dark Side of the Force. I can feel the passing of my father just as much as I can feel that Vader is dead.'
Han shook his head. 'You know I don't understand all of this. This Force stuff. How is Vader your father? I thought Bail Organa was your father?
'Bail Organa adopted me when I was a baby. He raised me on Alderaan as his own. It's from him I learned everything, my skills as a diplomat.'
Han interrupted, 'I hate to be the one to tell you this sweetheart, but not everyone is going to be as accepting as I am that Dart Vader your father. Luke's either for that matter, though in his case they might understand. Jedi stuff and all.'
Leia's eyes widened and she gasped. 'I have no intention of telling anyone about this, ever Han. Do you understand?
Han shrugged some. 'Okay. I didn't think you'd make an announcement or something. Sheez, relax a little would ya?'
Leia pulled away. 'Relax? Do you even comprehend a single word I've said? Darth Vader, slayer of the Jedi, destroyer of worlds is my father! How can I propose to take any part in leading the Alliance knowing full well I'm one of Vader's children?'
Han frowned. 'Don't even tell me you're considering leaving the alliance?'
She spun around and faced him. 'Why not? You were going to. If I hadn't been stuck with you when we were fleeing the Hoth system you would have taken your cargo straight to Jabba the Hut without so much as a backward glance.'
Han agitated Leia and pointed a finger at her. 'Now wait just a minute highness, what was going on with me and Jabba is completely different than what you got going on here now, Sweetheart. I had a price on my head. Every too bit bounty hunter in four quadrants was after my sorry hide.'
Leia narrowed her eyes at him. 'So you would have left then. You would have abandoned the alliance… and me.'
Han shook his head. 'No, not abandoned take a break from.'
'A break?' Her temper flared. 'You know how important you were to the alliance. You were one of our best pilots and commanders! The alliance needed you!'
'To hell with the alliance!' Han spat angrily. 'What about you? Were you that upset over losing a pilot or was there more to it than that princess?'
'Well, we never would have known if we hadn't made it to Bespin now then would we. You would have just thrown it away.'
'No Leia, it's not like that.'
Her composure softened. She looked almost hurt. 'Then what is it like Han? You had your money and you were going to run with it. You never said anything about coming back.'
Han stopped. He looked at her silently, thinking. Now that he had to think about it, what were his intentions after getting Jabba off his back?' Had he intended to quit the alliance all together and go back to his old smuggling routes? What about Leia? He had been beyond frustrated with her stubbornness. Neither of them had ever even admitted having feelings for each other before Bespin. A feeling of shame and regret came over him. He was going to do just as he said. Leave without coming back. 'Look Leia, I had to pay off Jabba. That was my priority then, but things have changed since Hoth, a lot.'
Leia looked back out the little window. 'You had your reasons for leaving the alliance, now I have mine.'
'There's no reason for you to resign. The alliance still needs you.'
She shook her head. 'Who's going to want to follow Darth Vader's daughter, Han?'
'You said yourself, no one will know.'
'I'll know.' She looked into his eyes. 'And now you know too.'
'Alright,' Han tried to reason, 'if you don't want anyone to know, why tell me?'
'I…' Leia bit her lip. 'I… love you Han.'
Her words touched his heart. He reached for her and pulled her to him. She let herself be wrapped in his embrace. 'Leia, you know how much I love you,' He breathed in her ear. 'You are the reason I'm still here. No matter what, I'm not leaving you.'
She pressed her forehead against his shoulder. 'How can this bee happening? How can that monster be my father.' She started to cry.
Han hugged her tighter. 'No one else needs to know, Leia. I'm not going to tell anyone.'
She sniffed back a tear and looked up at him. 'Not even Chewie?'
Han grinned. 'Well… I have to tell him, but its not like he's going to tell anyone. Even if he did how many people do you know that speak Wookie?
Leia smiled. 'Not many, except maybe C3PO.'
Han grinned. 'See, your secrets perfectly safe.'
'For now,' she sighed. 'At least until I talk to Luke.'
