I could care less to have my own title, I already have a good email and gallery
account, and I'm fine with not really having and decent options for myself as an
incentive for writing reviews. I'm planning on writing reviews on my own time to
contribute to AC not expecting much of anything in return, but maybe you could
make a special group for frequent reviewers like 'Review Crew' or something? Or
is that what you meant by putting custom rank in the first place.

nope. no experations for any of the specials.. as long as you maintain active
member status on the forum (posting at least a couple times a month) and don't
get banned that is.

account...but then wanted to use some of my space to host a picture I want to
post in the Photo Album, I couldn't, and would have to go find some other host
for said picture? =\

yep,
sorry. but don't worry about that.. once the new phpBB 2.2 comes out,
pictures posted in a topic like the photo album will be easily taken care of
with out the need for hosting it elsewhere. ^_^

actually.. i am going to update the post exchange rate this weekend.. i
was testing to see who would actually give up as many posts i was asking for
just so i could give them a freebie account or rank or somethin, but that plan
fell thru. so now the first free one is over. you all missed out.
and yeah, there may be a discount for hosting option available later
this weekend too..

its set with php scripts so the location of the pic will be inaccessable and
will only display in the topic its attached to. O_o like if you right click it
it'll be something like.. ancientclan.com/forums/blah/topic35?=323423425 or

Articles = AC.net email account
50 Articles = Sigs/Avatars account
(the article amounts stay the same. articles are cumulative, if you made
10 articles, you'll get a custom rank.. once you get up to 50 total articles you
will have all 3 of the rewards.)

aaaah seems fair enough but lets say i wrote my 10 artices and got my custom
rank and then down the line wanted to change it... is there any amount of
articles i can write to take the place of the 500 posts lol

nah, anyone that
has over 10 articles on the site can have their custom title changed once a
month without exchanging 500 posts. its beneficial to write articles.

Hmm, I dunno Sledge, I think you should revise the name change. Half your post
count is a variable, it could have a more adverse effect on say, DX (even though
he could change his name if he wanted to) then say, me. Also, there's no article
exchange for it either.

its a variable
yes.. that way ppl who signed up only a couple weeks ago and decide they should
have chosen a more appropriate name will only have to loose 10 posts or
something.. were as ppl who have been here for most of a year or longer will
have to take that bigger hit in their post count because they decide to change
their name so late in the game (in a figure of speech). as for the articles
exchange.. i'll put something in there later.

that is correct.
you have to trade in those thousands of posts to receive something so spiffy.
and if you think about it.. all it is is a number, and if you trade in
for a custom rank you wouldn't really be losing much status now, will you? ^_^
