of the Year
Starting this year, AC will have an annual Member of the Year (MOTY) winner.
unlike MOTM, the MOTY will receive a far greater prize than just a sig and their
name at the top of the forum.
the MOTY will receive the following:
an AC.net email account
a free year of AC's 'begginer hosting plan'
(the beginner hosting plan will also include a domain name registered for a
year)
total value: $50
the qualifications for MOTY are as
follows:
- you must be a member for at least 4 months.
- you must be
an active member.
- you do not have to be a previous MOTM winner to be
eligable to win MOTY.
nominations for MOTY will be determined by the
admins and the voting system will be explained at a later date. MOTY will take
place at the end of December every year.

admins are not eligable to win MOTY, all other members
are, including mods. and no, mods do not get special consideration for MOTY.
and yes, MOTM will still take place just the same as it always had.

regardless if they had a hosting account already or not, it would
still cost me gains in revenue.. so in a sense, yes.. it does cost me money.
anyone giving away a service for free that costs money to perform, loses money.

overall,
no. the server space & bandwith are available to me on the AC server. the
only thing i'd be missing out on is the revenue... so if you think about it, its
like i'd be paying the hosting bill to myself for the winner. ^_~ *hands sledge
