Welcome to the Struggle in Cold Darkness: Universe Divided, RPG signups. Before
we get started there are a few rules that we need to go over. READ THEM ALL!
General Rules 1. This is a
very detailed novel like RPG. Updates are expected to be at least a paragraph,
not all updates have to be super long, or even that long, but please refrain
from short 1 sentence updates. They aren’t totally banned from the RPG because
everyone uses them. Do not be overwhelmed by the veterans of this RPG when you
see huge updates, any new comers are not expected to be able to do that until
you get the hang of the RPG. We ask that you read everyone’s update FULLY for it
could change the way you do things. Last RPG we had some minor problems with
people skipping over updates and then saying something that was not possible
because of a pasted event they didn’t read. Don’t fall far behind in updating
because you will have a lot to read.
2. Please stay active, be
considerate of other players, don’t interact with another player and then leave
them hanging in a critical moment to where they cannot move on until you update
again. After a long absence in this state, you will be PMed asking if you wish
to be in the RPG, if we get no response you’re character will become an NPC and
later killed off.
3. When interacting with another player please do not
make a whole convo with them making up stuff they said, this is unfair to the
other player. It is ok if your update has them saying a few things, but use
common sense. (meaning don’t degrade there character). You cannot destroy
someones suit completely without the other players consent if you end up in a
duel with them.
4. NPCs were quite popular in the last RPG. To prevent
too man NPCs per person, please limit 5, although 3 is kinda pushing it. When I
say this I mean NPC’s that stick around and play major roles in the RPG. NPC’s
that you interact with in one scene is ok, you can have as many as you want.
Sign-up Rules 1. You must
have a character, use the format you see at the end of this post. The character
sign up is required, the mecha registration is not if you do not plan on having
one just yet. As soon as you get a suit, please edit your post with the mecha
stats. If you choose not to have a mecha at all, you are free to do so, incase
you wish to pilot a ship or something like that.
2. your mecha can have
3 trademark weapons, mark these with a *. All of your trademark weapons cannot
be defensive or offensive, one must be the opposite of the rest. (ex. 2
defensive 1 offensive, 2 offensive 1 defensive). Please do not make your
trademark weapons common weaponry such as laser cannons, Vulcan cannons, chain
guns, whatever. Once you trademark a weapon no one else can copy it.
3.
Your mecha and your character are not invincible, don’t act like it.
4.
Veterans remember this RPG takes place 15 years after the last one, your
character is 15 years older. Keep that in mind when you register
5. Make sure u pick an alliance, 'none' is not an option, you
dont have to be completely align to them, you can jump ship any time durring the
RPG, you dont even have to have close ties, this is just to give the other
players and idea who's side you lean towards the most, try to keep some variety.
no side is clear good or bad, remember that.
6. There are no limits to
how many weapons you can have, but try to be within reason. No one can carry
around 100 different types of cannons.

was born deaf and blind. He has 10x better sight and hearing than a normal human
thanks to polarian implants. 5 years being locked up in prison has further
improved his hand to hand combat skills, Rob now uses various forms of martial
arts and all out rough neck brawler techniques in a mixed combination of his own
fighting style. He is very quick and agile with stellar eye hand coordination.
He carries a custom made phazon blaster pistol (later in the RPG). Appearance: Medium build, loose baggy black
combat pants and titanium toe combat boots. likes black sleeveless shirt, same
ole rob. Background: After the great
struggle between the rebellion and the IE 15 years ago, Rob quietly disappeared.
He did some cargo work and odd jobs after Gordon passes away, rumors of galactic
civil war were brewing and both sides had been tracking him. Higher-ups from
Tsubasa’s empire eventually captured him and threw him into a prison on Lockcade
Minor, a frozen planet with the most dreaded maximum security facility in the
known universe. They feared he would become involved and take the other side.
They didn’t know that the UX had been destroyed in its final blow to the
raumhiafisch He’s been there for 5 years now.

much like the first NV-MAD6, same black color, a little less bulk but still a
very thick unit. Decals have been added. Background: The X was created by top Volarian
scientists from Intellenux. They built it to previous battle data on the X and
Ultra X. The X, as the last, has superior melee capabilities and its long range
combat has been improved. Due to its lacking of Vulcan cannons its Mid-Range
combat is less than superior. Its heavy weight makes it a poor aquatic unit.
Hyper-Matter Staff After
discovering the secret of the hypersheild, scientists of Intellenux learned that
it was based on a property of hyper matter. This was unknown to Jim or Rob
Opsulous. This matter basically temporarly split dimensions causing the
invincibility effect of the X’s Shields. Hypershields were removed off large
vessels due to the generators massive vulnerability to meltdown. Scientists
learned that Hyper-Matter could be used as a weapon, after years of development
the hyper-matter staff was invented. It uses a core recycle mode for continuous
hyper-matter flow. Unlike the shields it can stay up for as long as it is
activated. The staff can slice through anything, and it is the only known weapon
that can rival the experimental dark matter weaponry of Crest.
Double Edge The Double Edge is a
specialized blade made up of an armor piercing alloy. It is probably the most
expensive part on the suit because of the rarity of the alloy. This alloy cannot
be used as armor due to its non malleable nature. They fold back on pivot joins
on the under forearm of the suit, right next to the location of the chain guns.
Plasma-Slug Chain Guns A
hybrid between a chain gun and plasma cannons, this weapon is extremely
effective, rapidly firing plasma slugs at its target, the slugs can cause
serious damage, 6 fold of what a normal chain gun can do. These come out of the
under forearm of the X, much like the UX, but instead of spawning they run off
hydrolics.
Phazon Disruptor
Cannon The biggest weapon the X has, this new experimental cannon is
much like the Phazon cannons on the Revenge, But in a more convenient model. The
PDC supports 4 modes of fire. Semi-Auto Short Burst, Automatic, Continuous
Blast, and Overkill. Overkill is an extremely powerful burst of ultra-charged
phazon particles, the (upside down isosceles) triangular barrel has to split on
the 3 sides to release the heat generated by the charge, which will overload the
Cannon making it useless after the shot has been fired.
Voltage Hands One of the most devastating
weapons on the X. The hands have nodes in them that can produce 800,000 volts of
electric charge. Gripping anything metallic it can pulse the electric wave
through it. This would be devastating to any suit, damaging a lot of its
critical electronics.
Swarmer
Missiles Made Infamous by the X, the swarmer missiles are tiny
compact missiles that are fired in bunches, their homing capabilities are very
poor, but when hitting dead on the many small warheads create a lot of
punishment to anything it hits. These missiles can hit more than one target
making them very effective in battle.
Ionic Missiles Outdated but still extremely
deadly, Ionic missiles lock on to the ion disbursement that any and every suit,
ship, and vehicle produces. Impact causes severe damage due to its charge ionic
properties.
Cloud Vents An
ingenious defensive weapon, specialized output vents mounted on different area’s
of the X disburse extremely hot gasses that creates a kind of fog or cloud in a
wide area. The heat will render any heat or infrared censor useless. Due to the
nature of this mechanism it will only work in atmospheric conditions.
Hypersheild The dreaded
hypersheild, the reddish orb that everyone hates to see. The hypersheild is an
invulnerable force field that cannot be breached by anything. Any normal matter
that touches the shield gets destroyed. The intense power usage required to run
this device cannot be fully harnessed in a small area such as a suit. The
shields can only stay up for a very short perior of time before they must be
deactivated, otherwise it would cause a system overload.

Background: After Hiroko and Auriana settled
into a nonmilitarized zone, the Entropy was neglected for 15 years in a
makeshift hangar. Intelligence arose that the UEN was going to try a hostile
takeover and neutralize all lifeforms so that it would be an unknown operation.
Being that the majority of the system’s population were renowned vets like
Hiroko, they all souped up their mechs putting it to the state it is in now.

compared to Earth´s Kendo. Excellent results could be seen even in this

for the poeple who know the forgotten realms books, yes it is the same guy only

Background: Part of a long line of french diplomats, Montolio (a.k.a. Monty)
is the son of Ralio DeBrouchee, the last President of France. Monty Didn't take
up in his fathers footsteps and instead steered clear of Government affairs. He
ran away from home when he was 16 where he lead a life of crime, terrorizing the
local economy. The local police caught him and returned him to his father. Ralio
then enrolled him into a military school in the swiss alps. There Monty took an
interest in Mech piloting. He became top of his class and graduated with top
honors. He was drafted into the IE (Before their War) and sent into space to
board the Dreadnaught. He was on the ship when, rumors were said that the X mech
had done it, had been blasted with a Ultra Plasma Cannon. Fortunately, he was
not one of the 256 brave men that had lost their lives that day. He was however
discharged from the IE military for accusations of stealing Mech parts and
selling them on the Open Market. The IE disgraced his good name and sent a
messenger to his father telling him of his actions. His father then disowned
him, stripping him of his family name, rights, and left him to defend for
hisself. He then went to back to his old roots stealing and selling, until he
crossed a big player in economic warfare, Count Jeedsa. He took to Monty like a
second father, introducing him to a world of Gun for Hire. He was taught about
how things were handled, dirty fighting, martial arts, and a variety of
different gun handling. When the Count died (Due to a bad business deal), Monty
was forced to return to UNF. Upon returning, he tried to find out information on
where his father was. After poking around the urban underbelly, he managed to
find out that he was killed months earlier by a uprising in the townspeople. His
younger sister told him that his father had missed him everyday after he had
left for the Dreadnaught and had been on pins and needles when word reached him
of the attack on the mighty battlecruiser. After hearing of his insubordination
and disowning him, he tried to get many of his siblings to take after his
footsteps but none had succeeded. Then she gave him a small device, saying that
he told her to give this to him if he ever came back. A small encryption code
requiring DNA evidence, revealed that he had a secret hangar in the Russian
Drylands. He went their and discovered that he had made a specialized mech, and
had it named Python. Also created was a small carrier designed to carry 2-3
mechs at a time. With the 5 Year War raging on, and with his new equipment Monty
was determined to keep IE and any intruders out of his birthplace. When the war
ended, he had restored his family's good name, while reaching the IE's Most
Wanted List. When he had no funds left, he set out in to the universe to scream
his families name from the farthest reaches of space.

Anti-Gravity Enducers: Two panels slide aside in the palms of the mech
and four barrels can clearly be seen. They can create an area of blackness that
repels everything.
Dark Matter Extend-o-Whip: A long whip with an ionic
current being ran through it. It can create a strong sonic boom.
Titanium Shield: This shield is actually built with Olivian metals, one
of the strongest metals in the universe. The only thing that could penetrate
this would be maybe the fabled hyper matter, with some effort put behind it.
Flare Missile: A missile that isn't really strong but can produce a
strong flash of light blinding units in a 80 foot radius for 10-20 minutes.
Scatter Missiles: A missle that seperates into six seperate devices able
to decimate suits in their path.
Anti-Personnell Rods and/or Cannon:
While there is no way to actually fire them, they are very destructive. They can
destroy several suits at once. It is thrown in the general direction and 20
small explosive devices are released onto unsuspecting suits below. Even the rod
is explosive containing more explosive power than all 20 explosives combined.
Techniques Venom Snap: Used with the Dark Matter Whip, a ionic boom
will create enough energy to blow off an arm or leg.
Venom Strike: The
Anti-Gravity Enducers being used as a vulcan, just a whole lot stronger.
Smokescreen: The mech is delibrately overheated. Opening the vents on
the front suit allows the heated smoke to billow out. Having the secondary vents
take in the cool air makes sure the mech doesn't shutdown in a battle.

Blood type: Thought to be
AB- (due to him being Vedran not much is known on there blood types) Alliance: Volarian Abilites: Enhanced strength due to his
cybernetic implants, psychic/telekinetic powers due to his race, increased sight
range due to cybernetic eyes. Thats about it. Appearance: Medium type build, his
hair has been cut and spiked now since the end of the war. His appearance has
changed slightly for his cybernetic implants have been replaced with a new
bio-metal that is maintained by nanobots so he has his appearence back to
somewhat normal standards. Wears baggy jeans, combat boots, a sleeveless black
hooded sweatshirt (the sleeves were ripped off by him), and his signature black
shades to cover his eye color. Has been known to wear corporate suits due to his
new company. Background:
Shortly after the end of the struggle/war with the IE Denethor finally married
Ayame. They ended up moving to the now Volarian led sector where they had a son
named Aiden (1/2 Vedran, 1/2 Human). Keeping to the promise that he made Rob
before his suit exploded he has not set foot inside a suit. Instead he ended up
founding his own company, Darkweaver Drive Systems. His new company is basically
a suit and ship manufacturer that deals with the Volarians and anyone else who
needs a new suit or ship designed. His new company also dabbles in new
technologies as is shown in there new experimental PT weapon technology.

Tech Info: Bio-sensor: Allows a psychic pilot to
interface easier making mech reaction times faster. The bio-sensor also has a
surprising little side effect in that if the pilot becomes emotionally and
metally focused enough the bio-sensor ends up amplifying the power, speed, and
strength of the mech. (for a short time)(like the beserk rages the psychoframe
induced)
ECS (Electromagnetic
Cloaking System): This is a highly updated version of the Shadow Vesper
that was found on Denethor’s old suit, the Defiant. The ECS cloaks the suit from
all sensor and radar types as well as human sight.
I-Field Generators: A new shield type
invented by Darkweaver Drive Systems, the generators create a 180-degree
hemisphere in front of the suit the deflects/absorbs most type of beam energy.
Swarmer Funnels: Swarmer
funnels are upgraded versions of the shadow funnels found on the Defiant. These
new funnels have the ability to split into seven independent funnels each
equipped with a PT gun and the ECS. They can be controlled either by the pilots
mind or by the suits AI.
Swarmer Missile Pods: The infamous
anti-matter missiles found on the Defiant have returned but in a new form. These
pods fire 128 anti-matter equipped micro-missiles. These missiles have been
equipped with a new missile AI system (developed by DDS) that allows the
missiles to choose there target, most likely ones that threaten the Ryvius on
the battle field.
PT
Weapons: Phase Transition Weapons, a relatively new energy weapon
developed from the readouts based off the Phase Blasters and the VSBR’s. This
new energy type has the ability to pierce most armors found on most suits and
ships as well as some shielding technologies. It does this by causing a phase
shift in the space surrounding the area hit completely collapsing it. Due to
this these weapons are highly dangerous and highly experimental. Forms of these
weapons were used on three previous suits (the Shadow Sun, Aird, and Defiant) in
which two were destroyed directly from the weapons (the Aird was destroyed by
the SS’s phase blasters and the SS was destroyed from a energy backfire within
its own phase blasters). Currently this technology is being researched and
developed by DDS who just so happens to own the patents for it.
TDW Drive: Due to new discoveries in
Time-Dimensional Warp technologies the TDW Drive has been built. This new drive
allows for the suit to triple its speed in battle when it so wishes but its
lasts for only short periods of time. Also the new drive allows for the famous
jumping ability, making the use of wormholes irrelevant for suits equipped with
it.
Suit Background:
The Drath Ryvius is the prototype for the new DDS-DD7-06 Thalanus suits that
are currently be tested for use in the Volarian Army. This suit has been
modified from the original specs of the Thalanus since this suit was made for a
psychic pilot or if you wanna be specific it was made for Aiden's (Denethor's
son) use in testing it out. The suit has been reequipped since then to implement
weapons for Denethor's personal use (PT weapons and Swarmer Funnels). Due to its
well experimental weaponry this suit is highly unstable making it dangerous for
use in battle situations.
Suit
Appearance: As stated above the suit resembles the Defiant. This is
due to the fact that the Defiant’s building specs were used to create the suit
which also accounts for the reason that it resembles the X. The paint job of the
suits is black and crimson red with crimson being the most predominant color in
the suit. (once I finish drawing the pic I will post it but this will have to do
till then).
(Almost reminds you of the Defiant doesn't it. If there are
any problems with the suit DX just pm me and tell me and then I'll revamp it
again. Oh yes my trade mark weapons should be pretty obvious up there so I won't
really touch on them. Now below this I will put the profile for Spike because
I'm gonna use him again in this RPG)
Name: Spike Shadow Age: 46 Birthplace: Earth Race: Human Hair: Red with signs of grey showing
Eyes: A very pale/dull blue
Blood type: A- Alliance: Holds now true alliance but
for RPG purposes Volarian Abilites: Basically none except for
his exceptional genius with all things technical and his ship piloting
abilities. Appearance: A
medium type build. His hair is kinda spiked up like Denethor's. He usually wears
an old flightsuit from back in his cargo smuggling days. Background: After the end of the war
he basically disappeared from sight along with Geddoe. He wasn't heard from
until about 5 years ago when he sent a message to Denethor saying his was
imprisoned for cargo smuggling (most likely Geddoe's doing). Denethor
immediately bailed him out and gave him a job with his new company as an
engineer and a cargo pilot. Since then he has happily worked for DDS and hasn't
been in any trouble since.

Suit Background: This is one of
the earlier models of the DDS-DD7-06 Thalanus suits. This one was customized for
Spike Shadow’s personal use by taking off already existing weapons and replacing
them with new ones, like the mega beam rifles and missile pods. This suit has
yet to see much action for Spike does not tend to fight a lot in a suit.
Suit Appearance: The
suit resembles Denethor’s old suit, the Shadow Sun with the exception of some of
the weaponry. Its colored mostly black with very little blue on it. It also
holds a slight resemblence to the Aird.

coat, combat boots, and shades (like his father once did). When he is at DDS
though he is normally found wearing a uniform since he is also a suit mechanic
at the company. Background:
Aiden was born shortly after the end of the conflict on the now Volarian capital
planet. He grew up idolizing his father like he does now since his father was
one of the heros of the war. He tends to spend as much time as he can with his
father since Denethor tends to let him do what he wants unlike Ayame who makes
him do stuff he doesn't want to. He is one of DDS's top test pilots and excels
in suit combat. His style is modeled mostly after his father's since he favors
long-range weaponry to melee weaponry. He is also the brains behind the new TDW
drive that DDS created figuring out a way to harness the power behind it better.

Suit Background: The old Defiant was
mostly destroyed 15 years ago at the end of the conflict with the IE. The
Defiant was all but abandoned after the end, being left in a hanger on Aiur for
the longest time. About 5 years ago Denethor finally decided to salvage it,
bringing whatever was left of it back to DDS headquarters. Everything was
basically either destroyed or rusting due to lack of care. Denethor ordered that
the Defiance be pulled off the suit and placed in suspension while the suit was
rebuilt. With the new tech advances the Defiant has finally been finished,
having been given authority to carry PT weapons and such. The suit was rebuilt
for Aiden, as a gift for him from Denethor.
Suit Appearance: The
newly rebuilt Defiant resembles the old except with a few minor adjustments. Now
the suit is colored in a Goldish color and black, being the favorites of Aiden.
The suit also resembles the Ultra X still and retains many of the abilities that
it once did.
(well that should finish this out. I couldn't help but
bring the Defiant back but if you noticed its been severly downgraded for the
new one.)

Background: Naota grew up destitute in the densely-populated planet of
Kel'Ariy and learned to take care of himself quickly. As soon as he was old
enough to be taken half-seriously he took up work as a thief and and killer, but
it was the well-known assassin Mukuro Hitashi who trained him and taught him
discipline shortly after the war with the IE. Although he is no longer Hitashi's
student, the two remain in contact.

Nirokai, or Niro as he is often called, was born on Vega. His mother, Mirahalai
Vanahakuna, a Vegan high preistess, raised him to avenge his father's death. He
had learned how to pilot mechas shortly after having learned to walk. His whole
life was spent in the cockpit and he has goten very good. Shortly after his
tenth birthday he befreinded one of his father's former freinds. This man was a
human named Serrvo and with his help he began searching for the remains of his
father's old mech: The Revolution-Massacre.

(Salvaged from the orrigial RM wreckage) Appearance: (I'll draw this lter as
well.) Background: The RM was first created and piloted my Niro's father. It
was one of the deadliest mechs in the IE's repotoir until it was brought down by
Rob in the X. It layd shatered at the bottom of a very large volvanic lake for
14 years until it was found by a team of Vegan lead by Serrvo and Mirahalai. The
excavation of the RM's recoverable parts, most importantly the cockpit's
computer. After a seven month excevation, 70% of the mech had been recovered and
shiped back to Vega where it was rebuilt and improved uppon.
SRM-126 The Short Range Missile (SRM)
version 126 is an updated version of the older SRM-119's. They are agressive in
tracking there targets even though they only have enough fuel for 30~40 seconds
of flight. They carry a Vegan Impact Warhead wich can do considerable dammage
with multiple hits.
SRM-130 The SRM-130's, nicknamed
'Streaker', are very fast, very powerful rockets wich take great skill to avoid.
They carry a Vegan High Impact Warhead and can decimate enemy mech with only a
few hits. However, due to the rockets high speed, and the rate of fuel
consomtion, it is impossible for the rocket to track it's target. It is limited
to traveling in a straight line.
RXZ-756 The Vagan Machine Cannon is a
high calibre machine gun desinged for short to mid range combat. It has a high
rate of fire and is an all around compatible weapon.
RXZ-989 The Vegan Twin Gatling Riffle
differs from other models by having a lower calibre but a doubled rate of fire.
It can either be fired in a locked-on state or fire on a scatter, both can be
devastating and is ideal for mid to long range combat.
LS3 This Version of the Sniper Cannon
has been greatly improved appon from older models. The problem of constant
reloads has been rectified by meens of a larger amo clip and more accurate, more
efficient rounds. The weapon is primarily used for long ranged ambushes
Cabaal Cabaal is a
highly advanced AI system. It has a mind of it's own and simulated emotions such
as sarcasm and humor. It can pilot the RM on it's own using various data from
past battles.
VT5 Sheild
Unit While the VT5 may not be a hypersheild, it is very effective agaist
most types of bissiles and conventional bullets. It does however, lack strenght
against high imput lasers and most typer of mele weapons.
MRM-35 These Mid Ranged Missiles are
very versitile, they combine a good strong warhead with a decent tracking
feature.
LRM-32 The Long
Range Missiles have good tracking abilities and a long range, however it lacks
the punch of other models.
LRM-57 HM This version of the LRM's
have an even longer range and a superior homing system.
Alpha-Omega Hypercannon Pride of the
Vegan weapon development team, This modified, scailed down version of a battle
cruiser's main cannon is equiped with a small power generator. It takes several
minutes to power up but can be powered indipendantly. Once fired, a blast of
massive energy rips though whatever it's fired at. It can be set to either fire
in a consentrated beam to take out one mech or set on a wider spread area to
severly damage multyple units.
