Post subject: Vampire story
Well, here's that vamp story I wrote and had to kidnap back from school sweatdrop2.gif Anyhow, I think I did pretty good... Well, maybe... possibly... could be... newbluesweatdrop.gif So, anyway, what dp you think? Any suggestions?

It was late. I should have been home sleeping in my bed. I knew that, but was I sleeping? No, I was wide awake walking home at three in the morning. With Orion and Taurus high and bright in the sky I felt confident. Or maybe it was because I had just fallen asleep in the arms of my one true love. That night had been our six month anniversary. We had spent the day together at his house, talking, flirting, kissing and finally falling asleep. He offered to walk me home, I should have accepted, but I said no. He gave me a worried look, and then watched me as I walked away.
As I walked it seemed to get darker and the light of the moon seemed to pale. The air tightened around me and became stale like a tomb. I looked around, I couldn’t see any stars and it seemed like a sudden fog had set in. A sent filled the air, seeping into my lungs. It felt as if I was drifting from reality into a dream.I saw him there standing there pale as the moon with eyes like pools of midnight. His hair was blacker than the darkest night, cut short, to the tips of his ears. He was beautiful. I stood there standing dumbstruck, starring at him. My instincts were screaming inside me, telling me to run. But how could this gorgeous man be dangerous, my mind pleaded.
As I stood there, my mind arguing with itself, he slowly approached me. He was about three feet away when I finally decided to run. I turned to do so, but my feet felt as if the cement had swallowed them. He laughed as I struggled. Furious, I reached for the dagger hidden under my cloak. Before I even had a grip on the hilt of my dagger his cold hand stopped me.
I turned my head slowly to look at him, I had never been that frightened before in all my life. His eyes had changed from their formally gentile appearance to a now murderous glare. 'I’m going to die…' I thought as those eyes pierced my soul. Fear swelled inside me as he parted his lips to reveal sharp glistening fangs.A scream tried to escape my mouth but came out only as a desperate whimper. All I could do was cry. As the silent tears flowed down my cheeks he moved my head to have full access to my neck. He lowered his head and bit my neck. I could feel the cold fangs enter and begin to drain me of blood. He did not remain there long. Smiling at me he licked a few drops of blood off his lips, 'I believe I might just save you for later. For not only are you delicious, but you are also quite delectable to look at'.
I shuttered, I did not want this creature coming back. I fell to my knees, weak from lack of blood. Speaking softly to conserve energy I retorted, 'You are a monster and I cannot allow you to do that again.'
He laughed, 'Why my dear you have no choice.'
'And who are you to decide that?'
'Who I am is of no concern to you.'
To that I had nothing to say. I was tired and couldn’t even stand up. If he did not kill me then, I would die of cold. Everything that had happened was getting to me. My vision was blurring and my body swaying. As knelt there I saw Mattrello, my love, running up sword unsheathed ready to fight. The vampire must have sensed his approach for he turned and watched as Mattrello went to my side and held me close.
'Aroura, are you alright?', He asked me with a voice full of concern.
'I’ll be fine', I said quietly. He gave me a quick tight embrace then turned to the vampire. 'What did you do to her?', He asked as he readied to attack.
The vampire laughed, 'I have done to her what I am going to do to you.' Using his other worldly powers he threw Mattrello against a tree without even touching him. With a sudden burst of strength I ran over to Mattrello checking him for injuries.
Seeing that he was fine, I stood up dagger drawn. I said nothing, only glared at the vampire, but he understood.
Slightly surprised and slightly amused the vampire questioned me, 'You would be willing to die for him. You love him, or at least think you do. But love is an illusion. I’ve lived for hundreds of years and I know love is nothing.'I spat in his face, 'Love exists to those who deserve it. You are a beast and are not worthy of anyone’s love.'Red seemed to take over his eyes. He lifted me up by my throat. Through his gritted fangs he spoke, 'You know nothing of my life!'
I struggled in his grip but it had no effect on him. He looked over my shoulder at Mattrello, whom was just getting up, and tossed me aside like a piece of trash. Looking up I saw the vampire draining Mattrello’s blood.'No!', I screamed as I ran over. Using my dagger I stabbed at the monster killing my love. It didn’t stop him, because after I pulled the dagger out the wound would heal. The pain didn’t even bother him.In desperation I slashed the vampire’s throat. He pulled away from Mattrello to look at me. At first it was a look of shock but then an evil grin crossed his lips. He forced Mattrello’s jaws open. The vampire leaned over ever so slightly allowing his own infected blood drip into Mattrello’s mouth.Instinctively Mattrello swallowed. The vampire pulled away as the cut healed letting go of Mattrello, allowing his body to fall to the ground. I ran over kneeling over his limp body. I felt for a pulse and found none. Crying uncontrollably I stood and turned to the vampire. 'You killed him! How could you! You will pay!'
Before I could take a step something griped my ankle. Looking down I saw it was Mattrello. In one swift movement I embraced him. He held me closely and started to kiss my neck. He recoiled and pushed me away, moving himself away as well. He held out his hand warning me to stay back, in his eyes there was fear. I could tell something was truly wrong.
I edged slightly closer, 'Mattrello? What has happened to you?'
He held out his hand farther as he stood up. Looking over at the vampire he spoke to me, 'Aroura, that creature has made me one of his own kind. If you get any closer to me...'
'You won’t be able to resist the urge to drink my blood…''Yes.'
I stood up getting closer, 'Then make me a vampire. I will not let you go through this alone.'
The vampire burst out, he slapped me sending me about five feet away, 'You are foolish girl!'
Mattrello’s eyes grew red, he drew his sword, 'Never hurt her…''I am Aku, your creator. Do you truly think you can destroy me?', He laughed.
'So, there is a name behind the monster. Well, now I will know what to put on your grave.' He smirked slightly as prepared to attack.
'You do not even know what you are doing.' Aku stated as he sent Mattrello’s sword flying miles away. Watching the sword fly Aku was distracted, Mattrello took this opportunity. I too saw this opportunity. Mattrello made the most effective spear he could in the second that Aku was busy and I did my best to hold him. My holding Aku distracted him more allowing Mattrello to ram the spear through him. Mattrello didn’t know that I was there though. So, not only did the spear go through Aku but also me.In front of me Aku was shrieking and he seemed to be shriveling. His body was shrinking and becoming wrinkled. After mere seconds his body was nothing more than a pile of dust. I was left with the spear halfway through my shoulder.
Mattrello ran over to me. He supported me as he pulled the spear out of my body. Tossing the spear aside he laid me down gently. Looking at the wound he knew I wouldn’t live without his help.Holding out my dagger ever so slightly I told him again, 'I will not let you do this alone…'He kissed my forehead and took the dagger from hand. Using the dagger he slit his wrist and held it out for me. I licked the blood off the wound and swallowed. As I swallowed the wound healed. At that point I blacked out, but soon I awoke in Mattrello’s arms.I looked up at him confused about if it had really been a dream. He seemed to know what I was thinking and he shook his head. 'No, my love. It’s real. We shall be together forever.''And after 300 or more years we still are', Aroura stated to the bar keeper. He had long since stopped wiping the counter.
'Well, miss that’s a mighty impressive story. You should be a writer, quite an imagination you have there', He said readjusting his formally dropped jaw.Aroura laughed, 'Oh, but it’s all too true my friend.'The tender gulped as he looked from her to the man that had just entered.
Mattrello walked from the entryway to Aroura. He wrapped his arms around her from behind. He asked grinning showing off his fangs, 'Did he believe our story?'
Aroura grinned showing her own set of fangs, 'No, shall we make him believe?'
The bar tender turned but was stopped by Mattrello, whom seemed to appear out of nowhere. The tender turned again but to see Aroura standing behind him. She grabbed his wrist bringing it to her mouth. Slowly she bit into it drinking only a small amount. After only a quarter of a pint she removed his wrist from her mouth. Holding it out, she showed him the marks that he fangs left. He stared at the holes for less then a second the looked up. A reddish mist was in front of him and a greenish one behind, but Aroura and Mattrello seemed to have disappeared.
Then the mist disappeared and the voices of Aroura and Mattrello called out laughing, 'Do you believe us now?'
