Post subject: Lead Promises
I'm trying to think of a better title for this... the best I've been able to come up with so far is 'Lead Promises' (lead as in the metal, not as in leader). Any ideas?

Dying comrades grasping to my knees
Our boots licked by the pyre flame

Now all of the optimism, hope, and glee
All of the happiness and light and feeling free
All of the feelings you wish'd would always stay
Now seem so very, very far away....
