The dignity of self importance dwelling in
those seats
A slew of haughty, in-bred lords in badly tailored sheets,
Who's days are spent in argument and nights in others' beds,
No caring
impulse in their hearts, nor ideas within their heads.
Yet across the
crowded room sits a gloom, familiar face
From a time long gone, a life
half-lived and a far and fearsome place
Where only those still brave and
bold did ever tread of late;
My friend, what cruel, unusual twist did bring
us to this fate?
And so shall I take up my blade once more and boldly go
Beyond these safe, well-guarded walls and seek a fearsome foe?
Yet no
matter how I traveled now I'd find no greater threat
Than the bored and cold
indifference that power and wealth beget.
