one
(Okay...Pantoum I wrote for Creative Writing two years ago. I cheated on
it...because it was the only way to make it sound how I wanted.)
The rainbow which
I sat upon
Was scalding to the touch
Leprechaun's trap
I sat upon
The cooling grass
Leprechaun's
trap!
I need a second chance.
The cooling grass
Held something
else
A second chance
The gold winked in the sun
I sat upon
The gold, winking in the sun
Leprechaun's trap
Needs a second
chance.
It's kinda dumb...but I was really proud of it back
then...so it's still one of my favorites.

A Pantoum is a poem in which you write the first four lines...then in the second
stanza, have line 1 repeat the second line of your first stanza, and line three
repeat the fourth. Continue this for third stanza, but repeating lines 2 and 4
of the second stanza. For the fourth stanza, choose any four lines from the
poem, put them in any order, and finish it out that way.
Essentially...it's a 16 line poem and you're only actually writing 8
lines.
I cheated by changing the sentences slightly...instead of
repeating them exactly, I switched a few things...like 'I need a second chance'
became 'A second chance', etc.
And Leprechauns are coo.

I agree with Ladywriter. Plus, I agree that Leprechauns are cool! Btw... The
poem is good.
