My internet is doing strange things

Things like: all of a sudden deciding to not load certain web pages. (And they're all completely unrelated. totse.com is one of them. Could someone check to see if its working?)

Not loading images on certain pages. (Such as the pictures of the Revolution on the page DX posted.)

I'm using Firefox. Does anyone know what might be causing these things to happen?

Totse is working. Have you tried emptying your cache or temporary internet files? Also, try emptying your history folder too. Some browsers have preset sizes to how much they allow in the cache and they begin to get a little wonky when it gets full and sometimes they stop loading pages to avoiding going over the allotted space.

Are you on dial-up, DSL, Cable, or other?

You can try going to annoyances.org. They have a message board where you can probably get your question better answered.

Spend less time on lightsabres, and more time on making sure your computer doesn't suck :P

Naah umm my computer at mom's does that. It might be that it doesn't have the space, but I'm not sure.

try closing your browser, disable your anti-virus and then re-open your browser and try the site again. if it works, then your anti-virus needs updating or you need to tweek it's settings. if nothing changes, try the same thing with your firewall. if thats not it, disconnect your router and hook your computer directly to the internet (if you have a router that is). or you could always call up your ISP to see if they are having network issues. we had some serious issues with RR a few times (90% packet loss in the area does some crazy crap to your internet).

If you're using Firefox, are you sure you have the right Plug-Ins ? You need to manually install flash or video plug-ins, because they don't come already installed with the browser. I suggest you visit www.mozilla.org and check em out.

Just a wild guess but has your ISP maby blocked out some IP ranges? That might be why some sites wont load....try asking somone in your town that has ADSL and the same ISP as you if they can view the pages your having problems with. If they cant then you know your ISP is doing some work on protection.

If its not your ISP then Try running IE on your PC if you still have it (im assuming you do). Go to the pages your hacing problems with. Can you see them? If so then its Firefox if not then your computer.

Just some small imput but alwase try and small stuff first before download more stuff to complicate matters.
