Dunno, haven'T really looked at a price. But it is worth it.

Hyper treading: adds a second, virtual, processor. However, comon ressources are shared thus limiting it's usefulness.

Dual core: adds a second, virtual, processor with it's own set of ressources.

High-end single cores are currently better than high end dual cores, but less future-proof and they're not faster by much...Plus a Dual-core with HT = 2 real, 2 virtual procs for a total of 4. That's dead sexy to see when you bring up the Task Manager :P
