I just read about Ashlee in us weekly. Those guys at the football game were total jerks. She said she wishes the critics will pick on someone else and i agree. Do you think MTV is gonna play the boo on her show? It's on after Newlyweds again right? I hope they let her tell her side!

I heard about her rather...poor preformance at the Rose Bowl, and I watched her get booed off of SNL. I think she just needs to realise that she just doesn't sound good live. Not everybody does, Linkin' Park for instance sucks live. I like all their CD's but I can't stand them live. Her new song is rather...provocitive. I mean the whole ally cat part...yeah...do you want your 12 or 13 year old daughter running around singing that?

I agree people need to realize they are studio bands. Please find a new way to get merchandise to us.

She deserved every one of those boo's for a couple of reasons.

1. she absolutely sucked, That was the worst performance I have ever seen on that level. She squeeked, went out of tune, and just sounded painfully awful. I felt more sorry for the fans.

2. she doesnt have any talent in the 1st place. the only reason she is "famous" is because of her sister. Altho I am not a fan of jessica and she isnt the brightest person there is, She can sing.

3. She blames it on acid reflux. If she knew she was having a problem, why did she go on stage? Im sure they could have come up with something else at the last minute.

That is the problem today, too many bands that lack vocal talent rely on electronic enhancement to make them sound good. Thats not real. I could be a good singer with that stuff. This is why Music sucks these days. Nelly is worst of all, News flash, he cant make his voice do that, its all edited. Britney Spears voice is altered which is why she lipsyncs, as 18 said, LP also is to blame.

So who's fault is this voice editing phenomenon? A man that actually had talent before he turned into an abomination. Michael Jackson really was the innovator of electonrically enhanced voice work and sounds. Yet he did not use it in every word he said to make him sound better, he used it for the general perpose of making something new that no one else has done. Sadly it is now overly abused in todays music.

It's like I was telling my friend Amanda the other day when she noticed that Britney Spears had a Greatest Hits album. It USED to be that you had to be great, like Aerosmith, or Nirvana, to get a Greatest Hits Album, now, they'll give em to anyone. It doesnt matter if its edited, thats not the point I am trying to make here, the point is. IF they edit their voice, they cant expect to go out on live stage, perform without it, and not get booed. especially when they suck. Which she did, I saw the whole thing. I rather not live the life of a rich and famous, you cant trust no one, you're money buys your love, and friends, and if you lose your money, you have no one.

I don't hate Jessica Simpson, I think she is very attractive and talented. I just dont like her particular genre of music she performs. Many times in life, common sense is more important than book smarts. :p I have been blessed with an IQ of 163, If i had her common sense Id cash in a few IQ points for some more. X'D

A good band is one that sounds good on album but can adlib or make there live show even better.

I miss the days where bands like Aerosmith and Reo Speedwagon could make you melt at their live shows. They really don't sound any diffrent between live and studio. Godsmack was a total studio band...and...Evanescence can be a little hard on the ears too at times, but they're not the worst by any means *cough*Linkin Park*cough*

Right on Lady, they sound good no matter what. Mostly because they have to be good, most garage bands don't exactly carry voice menders.

i totally forgot about her show was airing. hopefully they'll show the boo part when they show tonight.

she was complaining about the voice all day soon as she woke up, and then when she was in middle of rehearsal, she completely lost her voice. SNL producer suggested she should just let the background track do the sining because doc warned that she could damage her throat permanantly if she sang tonight.

later they tried to come up with different excuses but they agreed that it's best for her to just tell the truth.

she shouldnt have went on at all. :p still doesnt change the fact she is a fabricated talent. Aaron Carter anyone? XD

I totally agree on that, she should have just told everyone that night what happened, it would have saved her a lot of grief, and everyone would have understood a whole lot better. I think a lot of people think the whole throat story is just a cover up, that's why she doens't get a lot of sympathy for it.

frickin corporate america feeding all of this garbage that they think we will like, they need to get their ingorate corporate analyst and let them breathe some fresh air so that they can see and know that people want to watch...superficial pop stars who piggy back off the fame of their siblings (who aren't really that good either) just trying to give us one more reason to say 'this show sucks lets watch looney tunes!'

Right on! *high five* Anyway, that's very true, but the sad thing is, people like to watch that crap. They love shows like The Bachelore and The Bachelorette...people eat that crap up because for 30 min it lets them live out a fantasy life they want so badly.

i never thought of it like that, i guess i was being kind of a hypocrite...like, i watch anime and play video games to escape the toils and snares of everyday life and calm my nerves........

but i still think cheesy reality shows are pretty lame...

I didn't mean it like that...doing things for enjoyment and to escape the stress of life, and letting things control your life, and letting yourself wish that your life was like that to a fault are two diffrent things.

Another thing that is sad, is you have to feel sorry for people like ashlee. Sometimes these big record companies just want to make money, and Make people believe that they truely are just that good, then they get burned on live stage and their world comes crashing down on them.

Exactly...what's worse, she wouldn't even have a record deal if it wasn't for her sister. Anymore, you have a sibling that was once big or is big, then you atomatically get a record deal too wether you can sing or not. -_-;
