Dude . . . I don't want to start a flame here, this is not an attack, but I find that highly ridiculous, not to mention prejudiced.
Just because you don't like rap doesn't mean that you're white. I know a few hispanic/Mexican Americans who would rather drill out their own ear drums than listen to rap, my husband being one of them.
I know you said that's what you've seen so far, but I'm pretty sure that post is really going to piss someone, somewhere off. If I were you, I'd do some serious editing of that post . . . like now.

Personally, I like a mix of everything (even some country). I am not a huge fan of rap but there are a couple songs that aren't so bad. Variety is the spice of life.

First off, this is a ridiculous topic with completely untrue racial biases.

Secondly, I listen to Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Benefit, Deltron, and Busdriver. That's it for rap/hip-hop.

Rap is excellent. Although I'm a fan of more late 80's and early 90's rap. I'm still a big fan of the new stuff.

I like both. What I hate though, is the anti-rap dumbasses who know little to nothing about the genre, yet constantly make HUGE, massively generalized judgments on it.

I'm NOT a rap fan, I guess I just don't get it. My older bro tried to get me to listen to some and I didn't like it.

I used to like rap... back when rappers actually rapped about something - when they had something to say. Nowdays, it's all "yo yo yo, I gots mo hoes dan you, I got this, I got dat. Bling bling ya herd?" They just rap about what they have... actually, most rappers (like Jay-Z even admitted), are broke. The females that they have in their videos are payed to be there, the cars they have are rented, they have 0 in their bank accounts, ect. So what they rap about, they don't even have.

If you want real rap, check out something like Nas's Illmatic from the 90s. But I've heard all the stuff from back then, so I don't really like rap anymore.

I'm all for Metal... but since Metal isn't up there, I go for "all rock and no rap." Though I do like more than just Metal and Rock...

the most I've ever listened to is eminem and dr dre but thats only because they don't really talk about girls shakin' it on a dance floor and takin' there clothes off. Other than that I'm all for rock and a little country but thats only because I grew up with it.

well i like a lot of different stuff...there isn't a lot of rap in there because majority of the artists now-a-days are all singing about the same thing. like hoes and partying and what not. i like a good amount of country but im more into rock and jrock. i like anime music, trance and techno also

I have over 200 MP3s in my collection and that number is steadily growing. The genres my collection covers would be country, opera, techno, comedic, pop, rock, oldies, Japanese, Spanish, classical, instrumental, sound tracks, and VERY little rap. I don't care much for most rap because rap artists put far too much crap in their music with no meaning and too much profanity.

I was once tortured by a rap song some colleagues were listening to at work that contained backup singers that sung only two phrases throughout the whole song. One of those phrases was "f*ck me"! That is crap, not music. There was another song that tortured me where the primary phrase in the chorus was "B*tch, get out da way." That is HUGE crap and I said so in front of my colleagues. One of them sneered at me and said "We don't call YOUR music 'crap!'" I responded, "That's because you've never heard it! You people always hog the radio with your cheap, pointless garbage!"

That's not what Accerenza was saying. I'm quite sure no one has ever even heard ALL types of music. But Accerenza was saying that a true music lover should explore and enjoy many genres, like myself. No one could possibly enjoy all music, but one can enjoy many varieties.

WuTang, Tupac, Biggie, Run DMC, and A Tribe Called Quest make up like 1/3 of my music currently O_O. (i have about 3k songs...not great, but not bad either ^_^; )

1.you dont know 50 cent, neither do you know what he did so dont characterize his personalityand talk like you do just because you know what the press tell's you.
2.Lloyd banks did get shot so what do you mean?
3.cassidy may have a slow brain because he smokes alot of weed but his personal life doesnt matter to me, and i said i like his freestyles which you might not have even herd.
4.My preference shouldnt be judged thats why its MY PREFERENCE and not yours, No hard feelings or anything just try not to tell me what to like because i could care less what you like.
