Odd, I have all the soundtracks (dled them off of BitTorrent). If you use BitTorrent you can go to Boxtorrents and get all the OSTs (Sign, game, Dusk, etc.)

I used Kazaa lite to get most of my songs, but now I use Ares. They both have a respectible amount of anime music dls.

i use LimeWire. (kazaa always gave me a lot of garbage along with some good stuff) but um...youre better off with a bowloading program like bittorrent to find them rather than finding a site

How about downloading things legally through ITUNES.
That's how I get music. I need to keep legal things going on. When I go to sell records I need to make money. Just because it's a cool job. It doesn't mean I shouldn't get paid for it.

Or, this is a little more complicated, download Winamp and BoomBox Radio, then just record one of the Anime channels and sort through them and hope to get something from dot-hack.

Only way I will make a living as a songwriter is through royalties. It hurts more than major labels. Maybe you'd see it differently if it effected you.

I always buy the CD's when I have the money and delete the music I dled. I usually only use downloadable music to sample some songs and then eventually buy the CD later on down the road (have done it with every single CD I own). So don't worry, you'll get your money if you produce something I enjoy listening too.

Ya WinMX is great. You can connect to multi servers at the same time not just one server such as what Kazaa and limewire do. Bittorrents ok but I get way faster speeds off of Winmx then I do with bittorrent.

As for the illegal downloading of music... I don't really think it matters since there still making money off people that buy tickets to their band shows, clothing, merchandise, autographs and other such things. So as long as Im given the option to download I'm shore as hell going to do it.

Yeah, bands make a big deal about losing like 500,009 dollars in music sales, but what they don't tell you is that they are still making 27 million a year..

a majority of the money bands, singers, and songwriters make is from tours....with the record company owning and releasing the albums, they don't a big percentage of their income off record sales....not to mention a lot of times, you'll pay $15 for a CD that has only one good song on it....if all the songs were good, i would have no problem with that....

with that said, most of my songs are ones i have on tape anyways from a long time ago...the only 'modern' songs i have are techno, a lot of which are free anyways.....i don't listen to a lot of music at home anymore, and now that i have XM, i don't need it for my car either......

I use Limewire alot, not only for music but for AMVs too. I download a few at a time and delete the ones I don't like and keep the rest, Without Limewire...I don't know I'd do.

A songwriter can make a significant amount of money off of album sales. Alanis Morrisette made more than 20 million on jagged little pill.

They actually get the majority of there money from the radio play. up to a quarter a play. also if you have the rights as a song writer.
