Did any of you actually beat either of the Weapons (Emerald or Ruby) without the W-Item exploit?

I beat the one underwater without the W-Item, because Reds' HP was at 7777 or 777, witch caused the "Lucky 7's" thing to happen, but after that battle he went up a level so I couldn't do it anymore, but then I got Omnislash to help beat the one in the sand. The Ultimate Weapon was easy as hell.

I beat em using Knights of the Round and mimic so.... :look:

well right.. but im talkin for the megalixers @_@ .. I dont care if you have KotR and mimic, you're still gonna get your ass beat a fair ammount, enough to kill you atleast a few times, unless you use a megalixer every round or two >>

The little materia trick for Aire Tam Storm is .. helpful, but .. it doesn't work for Ruby ^^;;

Personally I think Ruby was the harder of the two because of the sandstorm thing that knocks a character out of the fight. >>

Right from the begining Ruby always took my best players. I never got Knights of the Round Table. Isn't it the "ultimate materia" or something like that? It took me longer to beat Emerald than Ruby....

I guess.. if you had a LOT of patience you could go down to the sunken ship and mug the monsters down there for stat raising items to max yourself out >D

but it would take an unholy ammount of time..

and yeah, KotR is the ultimate summon .. not the ultimate materia, but the ultimate summon. You have to breed yourself a golden chocobo to go up and get it >>

Oh yeah... I tried to get that but I kept getting greens and blues. I only got 2 black ones.

ruby is easy if you use hades

i leveled up my materia like an insane bastard. o_o; i had 2-3 characters with with master summons, everyone with mimic.. start the fight off with hades and then knights of the round.. mimic with all characters until ruby was defeated.. i don't remember him even getting a hit off.

as for emerald.. i beat him with shear force, kotr, mimics, etc..

only after i did all that crap did i find out about the w-item trick. x_x;

i once saw lady beat ruby weapon with shear force alone.. it was an amazing battle with healing spells, auto-revives, deathblows, slashes, etc.. i was crazily impressed. even with my maxed out characters i couldn't pull off the moves she did.

.. my Tifa was enragingly weak.. even though she was max level and had her best weapon.. :/

.. Almost makes me want to play again to see if i'd do better this time around.

My party was Cloud, Red, and Vincent or Cid.

belive it or not.... u havent even beat FFVII yet... im trying though! :)

You should play it... it's awsome. In my opinion, 8 and 9 are better.

i can't remember all the details, but i do remember having cloud attack with flash at the beginning of every fight, then yuffie doing a 9999 slash-all (weapon with no materia point upgrades to keep slash-all) and i think cid with a 4x 9999 hit attack (weapon same setup as yuffie i think). and cloud had about 5 counter attacks/counter with/counter magic setups. i usually never had to input a single command during a battle. :sweat:

I was never too good with Yuffie or Aeriths.

That's the thing about Tifa's best weapon. The amount of damage it does is based on how high her limit break bar is.

Yuffie <3....Cloud and cid for me as well. i had cid with 4x slash, and yuffie with death blow she hit with it every time for 9999 :D gotta love that high amout of luck <3, and cloud was my main healer and his solid attack wasnt bad since he was the highes level at level 72, cid 69, yuffie 65. beat sephy with physical attacks XD.
