How does one become an AC elite? (I thought I already was.) :confused:

To become a member of the AC Elite usergroup:
1) You must be a member for 3 months.
2) You must have a post count of 1000 or more.
2) Click the following link: Group Memberships (http://forums.ancientclan.com/profile.php?do=editusergroups)
3) Click to join the AC Elite usergroup.

So AC Elite.. basically lets you do normal stuff you can do from the get-go at other forums? Because I'd really like to use my custom avatar and I'd gladly post 1000 posts, but not just so I could use a custom avatar.

by limiting new members abilities it contributes to the overall integrity of the forums. it also gives reason for new members to become active in the forum community.

Been more than a year, still havent hit the 1k mark.

anyone who has been a member for a year and hasn't hit the 1000 mark is eligable for AC Elite. *wonders why i never added that on the list* eh, over the years i've seen plenty of new members accumulate 1000 posts in about a 3 month span or a little more.

1000 posts / 90 days (3 months) = 11 posts a day. but even if you don't make 11 posts a day, the numbers are actually pretty small. :p

8 posts a day = ac elite in 4 months. or maybe 6 posts a day = 5 months. i'm not saying flood the board with replys and sure enough there are some days were AC hardly has anything new to even reply too. but its all relevant. when you run a forum for almost half a decade a few months isn't that long.

When I got back It had been a while and AC had switched over to some other board and magically I'm the only one that remembed my actual post count.. lol.. blah.. anyways, I don't really care anymore, just saying .. i really have :

the majority of all members re-registered whenever we changed board software or to different hosts. the url actually changed 2-3 times too. (the domain company i originally registered ancientclan.com from didn't have url redirection at the time). we also went back and forth between 2-3 free hosts back then. for about 2 years now we've been a hosting company so we don't have to worry about issues like that anymore. ^_~

we let some of the rules slide a little. like the filesize of your sig is a bit excessive, but its not slowing down the loading of the forums so its not that big a deal. text and/or image sizes and urls in sigs are what we really crack down on. but thats not always the case. repeat sig offences usually result in a warning and/or a ban and/or removal of signature abilities. :nod:

also, if anyone thinks their signature is too big or inappropriate, they can pm an administrator and ask their opinion on the matter. ^_^
