I have been getting loads of double posts. I have resorted to just deleting them, because warnings are doing nothing. People need to realise that having their posts deleted DOES REMOVE FROM POST COUNT. This makes it harder to to gain any leads in rank, be it for AC Elite or anything else.
I will also continue slamming you with negitive rep, unless I have given you rep recently. This makes it where you loose certian privaleges, like sig and avatar ablities, and, if bad enough, banned. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE!!! Learn to just edit posts, so you don't put up the same thing, except for adding one damn word. ONE WORD DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS A DIFFERENT POST!
So please, pay attention, edit posts if you have to, just don't double up.

Its been ticking me off as well the same person posting like 3 messages in a row with like 2 words.

I did that when I first came here but only once. If I forget to say something I edit my post. *is annoyed at multiple pointless posts*

Ya, know...You guys are in just as much a position of power as mods are. That is what the rep points are for. If you see people doing this crap, give 'em a bad rep! It may not seem to do much, but if enough people hit 'em, there are things that they start to lose (Kuwabara, you know what I mean...;) ). If they get too low, they even get banned.
If everyone does what they can, the crans will start to realise, "Oh, shit...These people really value their AC OLC(Online Community)...Maybe if I start to do things a bit more intelligently, my rep points may come back up..." That is one of the reasons that rep was added.;)
Just remeber, if we all do our part, this place may become the biggest and best forum in existance!

I've double posted only about three time. But that was because I have dail-up and it takes forever for the page to load, so sometimes the page won't come up or else I don't even realize that the post actually posted. I hope that none of you guys are pissed at me though. If you are then I'm sorry about it.^_^:

I've only double-posted twice, I think. The first time was when I first came here and didn't know any better. I wasn't aware of the editing features. I was quickly corrected. The second time was on my PitaTen thread. Which brings me to a question, Sabe.

I understand that short double-posts that have no real point are a HUGE no no. However, is it forgiven if we had to multi-post because we had a LOT of stuff, like pictures? For example, my PitaTen thread and when Ladywriter left posts 6,7, & 8 in Master of Foxfire. By leaving my PitaTen posts, I realized that there is a strict limit on the number of images allowed in a single post, including smileys and sigs. If it is forgiven, I can understand enforcing a level of frugality.

Well, you gotta remember that a lot of people are on dial-up. And worse, AOL. If at all possible, upload them somewhere and just post links. That's really the best way to do that. If you do the attachment thing every once in a while, we're probally not going to say anything. ^_^;

HEY! I'm on AOL dial-up, buddy! :x .....j/k;) ....It does suck. But it really doesn't take that long to load a few pictures, even on a bad connection like mine. I hope to get my DSL line back soon. :meh:

I did upload the pics somewhere, but I didn't know at the time there was an image limit in every post, so I didn't make any kind of index page for them. Also, I really didn't think about linking them, but it would've been shortER yet still one LOOOOONG post if I had anyway.

Anyway, has everyone seen my PitaTen thread? 'Tis cute! ^_^;

See I run off of 49.0 k dial up and I don't have that problem...just try to be a little more patient and careful. ;)

The problem seems to have lessened since this topic was created, but it does still happen.

This happens. Don't worry, just edit the double of the two, and put in, *removed message*, and it will be ignored. That is just for me, though, an admin may come along and remove it, but I tend to be rather lienent on the subject. But, if it becomes a repetitive problem, I have no qualms deleting posts. So long as it was an accident, have no worries, most mods/admins will have no problems with it.
Just remember to be careful...;)

Alchemy's first rule(FMA) is Equvilent exchange: "In order to gain, something of equal value must first be lost..."--Al, during the Opening. It's a joke...oh, well...ON TO THE NEXT ONE!!

Don't worry, if this was one you couldn't post on, you wouldn't have been able to. ;)
And thanks for the recognition. Even a lowly Mod such as myself has to deal with really stupid people...-_-; It's just one of the things that come with the position, it's just the fact that people can be so lazy as to not hit the edit button, or check to see if a thread already exists.
I'm glad that members notice what is done to keep the place orderly.^_^

PS: So are all our members...;)

Simply in regards to a short warning: I have noticed that things are becoming lax again in certian sections...Don't start the crap in the other areas that don't have a forum leader; all of us mods/admins will still hit you with negitive rep for crap posting. I may not have significant power outside the anime section..but negitive rep hurts no matter where you are. I will get you for it. This is a general warning to all, those who it doesn't apply to, you know who you are, as to those it does apply to. Read the forum rules; they exist for a reason.

if someone comes across a bad post, double post, etc... all members can click the reputation button "http://forums.ancientclan.com/styles/FFX/buttons/reputation.gif" and lower someones reputation. after doing that, click the report a post icon "http://forums.ancientclan.com/styles/FFX/buttons/report.gif" and it'll notify the admins to look at the post. and as simple as that everyone can improve the quality of the forums. ;)

all the admins receive "reported post" emails. and because i check my emails constantly i see every reported post notification within a good timeframe. and depending on the circumstances, many times admins will give a warning and then any further issues will result in a ban.
