I can't say that I was a fan of the first but just look at the second one.

Graphics look excellent, depth looks promising, Huge character selection and customization.

Many classes to choose from.
4 Archetypes > 3 Classed to choose from each archetype > then 2 subjobs are available for each class.

My main is going to be a halfling priest ^_^ I don't know which priest class I want to be though. They all sound so cool.
Cleric = Best Healing and decent buffs
Druid = Good buffs and some decent attack spells
Shaman = Good Buffs and some summoning

[Ships out on the 8th and Available on the 9th.]

November 13th, 2004, 07:00 PM

November 13th, 2004, 10:14 PM

November 17th, 2004, 01:56 AM
(0_o) it looks cartoony to me...

November 17th, 2004, 06:28 AM
Only slightly.. But that may be due to the fact that I'm a halfling ^_^

What do you mean though? o.o I don't even have my graphics up all the way. O_O My computer would probably break if I tried to put it on the highest detail. XD

That setting there was actually on the lower end of the detail spectrum. o.o

Btw, I just hit lvl 17 ^_^ woot woot

November 17th, 2004, 03:31 PM
whats everquest?

November 17th, 2004, 05:08 PM

^^ It has all the depth I was hoping it would. And it stays interesting!

You gain a new spell or skill every level, and sometimes even half-way through a level. :3 And almost every skill I'v gotten so far has been useful. Infact, I don't have a skill that I don't use. lol.

And the tradeskills are complicated ^^ .. in a good way. It's not just "*make item**make item**make item*".. you actually have to interact while making the items.

For instance; when cooking you have to deal with puffs of steam, temp. changes and flavor loss.

November 18th, 2004, 08:01 PM
hmm maybe ill look online for some max res images then

November 20th, 2004, 04:59 PM

It has all of good parts of the games I'v played and very few weaknesses, I can't even think of anything bad to say about it. ^^ humm, but If i must say something, sometimes the loadtimes for entering towns is a tad long, and towns are a little laggy even on the best computer systems, but usually only when theres a lot of people online. The towns are huge and the NPC to players is almost 1:1 lol..

I'v played:
Ragnarok Online
Well Of Souls
Risk Your Life
Lineage 2
Red Moon
+More.. I either cant remember or arnt' notable.

Not in any particular order. There will always be a special little spot in my heart for RO, since I love it so. But it lacks a lot that Everquest offers.

Runescape is a good game, simply because it offers more to do than fight. That's something a lot of newer MMORPGs seem to forget about. But not Everquest 2. Imagine Runescape with excellent graphics, a huge class and race selection. And the most complex character customization you can imagine.

Most characters can customize;
Eyes; Color, Slant, eyebrows
Hair: style, color, highlight color
Head: Cheeks' fullness and height, Chin length and width, ears size and height, nose upturn, length and width.
Body: size, age, skin tone

etc etc.. o.o

So many of the NPCs have voice acting, and will call out to you ^^ .. and a good majority of them have quests for you to do. My main character has done over 100 quests now [and is signed up for about 30 or so more atm]. The rewards can range from a few pieces of copper to excellent pieces of new equipment. Or furniture for your home.

Yes, every character gets their own home.

It's 15 dollars a month incase anyone is wondering.

November 20th, 2004, 09:14 PM
Nice. Sounds god to me. My parents would never let me download he thing though, family computer. I cant wait to get my own. I like runescape as wel, but now it seems everquest just makes it sink.

November 22nd, 2004, 12:32 PM

November 23rd, 2004, 09:24 PM

November 26th, 2004, 05:42 PM
i jsut got it today and it looks pretty :)

November 27th, 2004, 10:07 AM
cammy those screenshots look great! hobbit village! i'd feel right at home! X'D

i got a couple questions tho.. so you got the game on the 11th and you hit lvl 20 on the 21st. so, in ten days you got 19 level ups.. so, are you playing like a fiend? 15 hours a day? :p and how is the level up system? do they start altering the amount of experience points you get per enemy (ie. you kill 20 bears, everytime you kill another bear the experience is less than the previous?) and do you have to do alot of teamwork to expand your character's skills and level ups?

November 27th, 2004, 04:29 PM
I got the game on the 9th and I hit 20 on monday (22nd) at 3:30ish am ^^'' .. officially, but it it was more like late sunday night.

I just typed /play, which tells your total play time for the character.

6d, 1h = 145 hours

In 18 days. thats comes out to about 8 hours a day. LOL

Last few days I'v been playing other characters and working on tradeskills cause I dont want to pass one of my friend too much (hes at 17).. ^^;; *goes to check alternate playtimes*

normac (level 10 and a half): 21h
shleck (level 6): 3h (lol)
gremmy (level 6): 2h

All together I'm averaging about 9h 30mins ^_x'' .. the leveling isn't very hard but higher up it takes a decent while. not too fast or too slow (unless you're really unpatient I guess..) the game keeps you interested through the longer levels by giving you new spells/skills every levelup and sometimes in the middle of a level.

December 3rd, 2004, 02:23 AM

December 5th, 2004, 12:37 PM
oh, that isnt that bad.

December 5th, 2004, 04:52 PM
If you know someone with the game you should borrow their install disks. ^^ I can give you a 'buddy key' .. basically a 7-day trail. No credit card needed or anything.. you just need to install the game.

If you wanna check out the game first that is.

December 5th, 2004, 05:39 PM
Well EQII does come with 30-day fee period

December 5th, 2004, 05:50 PM

December 14th, 2004, 02:33 PM
I'v made a short little screenshot story here >3 ..

Normac's bogus adventure to Stepps station
By: Me

"I need to go to stepps station.. getting screenshots on a griff would kick ass at this quality... "

Its going to be so cool! */dance*

First I just gotta cross this river... [Pretty ripples!]

Oh dang.. a camp of gnolls.

CRAP! It agroed me! *Feign Death* (Fake death skill-- It lowers hate and monsters usually will go away if you use this ^_~ .. quite useful.)

Woohoo! I can see the station.. almost there

Ack! *Gets punched by a bear*

*Punches it back* Die!

*Runs away screaming for help*

---A few moments later---

December 15th, 2004, 08:16 PM
X'D Im gonna get this soon.

December 15th, 2004, 11:03 PM
Looks awesome. I got Lineage 2, but, i don't know I'm just not very good at RPG's, But I'll try my hand at this one.

December 16th, 2004, 05:36 PM
.. Saosin. I'm sorry. I wish you hadn't wasted money on Lineage 2.. lmao... I hope you only like fighting, because that's all that game has. x_X'' .. and there's open PVP, so anyone can kill you, pretty much anywhere, for no reason whatsoever. .. >< there are some mean people in that game..

But yeah, you guys should get EQ2! The sooner the better because the longer you wait, the higher level my characters are going to be and the less I'll actually be able to help you. Me and Eppy want to make a guild.. but we lack members. An AncientClan guild would be pretty cool ^_~ ..

December 19th, 2004, 05:27 PM
i heard from eppy that you guys need a total of six ppl to make a guild. i dunno if me n chelle will get into the game or not. i need to discuss mmorpgs with her. ^_^;

December 30th, 2004, 05:49 PM
I'm getting this next month (hopefully!) And my characters will probably be as follows:

A Dark Elf Fury ( Most used)
An Iksar Shadowknight OR A Halfling Warden (2nd most used)
A Ratonga Dirge (last most used)
Ill probably play on Blackburrow

December 31st, 2004, 07:11 AM
frogloks arent imped yet i believe...and problem with all the char you want to be they are all Freeport chars mainly...most of our guild and chars are in Queynos...and btw me and Yuji did get our guild started look in the topic in this forum named Axiom Elite for the info :)

January 1st, 2005, 03:15 PM
Couldn't I betray Freeport to join your guild?
Edit: I updated my characters. My halfling Warden can join your guild, right?
UPDATE: I am getting EQII next Weekend for sure!!!

January 1st, 2005, 11:45 PM
--I think you have to do some ingame quest or something to unlock the frogs. But I don't think that quest is up yet.

Couldn't I betray Freeport to join your guild?
Edit: I updated my characters. My halfling Warden can join your guild, right? You can join the guild from either side, I went over and got a bunch of freeport people to join yesterday :) [but yes, if you really wanted to you could betray. however it's a pretty long and difficult quest]

A Dark Elf Fury ( Most used)
An Iksar Shadowknight OR A Halfling Warden (2nd most used)
A Ratonga Dirge (last most used) lol, you're going to have two priests? I wouldn't recommend two of the same branch (druid) if you do decide to do that.

UPDATE: I am getting EQII next Weekend for sure!!! :D yay!

January 2nd, 2005, 09:28 AM
Actually, Ill stick with my Dark Elf Fury and an Iksar Shadowknight, and ive always wanted to be a bard!

January 8th, 2005, 05:57 PM
w00t! I just got it about 1/2 an hour ago, installing it now!

January 13th, 2005, 01:41 PM
Yeehaw :D what's your player names? .. *whip* you'd best be playing on blackburrow *evil eye* haha

January 13th, 2005, 04:32 PM
I am, Ill post player names later, although my pc is having problems running this at lowest settings.
