When kagome go to her time there are no demons.

Possibly something to do with the Shikon Jewel. It may disappear later and take all demons with it. That's just my theory.

My theory is as the humans get firearms it make all the small demons die because that can’t eat the humans. Now as time go on the big demons will have to hid and that start the Demons Alliance it said that “demons will not kill demons” making the demons first law. So the demons start making a tows that starts demons to make firearms but jus before the demons attack the humans one smart demon stop it all form happing she talk about how humans are the mane food sores and if that kill of the humans they would have to kill demons to get food. So now demons live underground whir humans can’t get them jus feeding off humans.

there are some like demons in the first 50 episodes (some were i cant remember what number) there was a girl that was killed in a fire and was scaring kids and only kagome could see her and in another episode there was a mask that wanted kagomes shards so i think there are demonds but just not as many as befor

I would guess that most are dead, some probably blended into human society, and some just became invisable to human senses.

I totally agree with Lady on that...I'm sure that after so long the demons just kinda died out, and the few that remain have probably blended into society.

Actually no. I don't care much for manga. I'm just guessing because I realized that the Shikon Jewel also isn't in Kagome's time. That is, of course, except for that piece in the flesh-eating mask, but they took that back to the feudal era which put it back into play with the rest of the shards.

Anyway, I'm guessing that the jewel will be used as a catalyst to rid the world of demon powers. Consider that the jewel was created by a priestess that was fighting demons. This will probably be turned into a fascinating twist that'll leave Inuyasha with only his human blood and cure him of his cursed transformation that Tetsusaiga prevents. However, Sesshomaru and Shippo will also be effected.

refreshing my memory here..i think kagome got shikon jewel as present from her grandpa. which made possible for her to travel through time, breaking jewel into pieces, make demons go nuts including waking up inuyasha and making naraku insanely powerful(his hatred for inuyasha).

there was one episode where kagome was about to fall in love just because she saw his ancestor's name along with hers. which gives me a clue that she believes she was meant to be both in past and present, thinking without her, there will be no alternative future but one thats already happened where she came from. if that's true, it makes sense but otherwise..it's just happening randomly and came out same result no matter what the past events she interferes with. *dies*

The jewel was in her body from the start. As Kikyo's reincarnation, she still had the jewel in her protection(it was burned with Kikyo, removing it from the world), but when she was attacked by Mistress Centipede, the jewel was torn free from her body. Later on, a demon crow got hold of it, and she used its foot(whick InuYasha had severed) to get the arrow to go right to the crow, but the arrow hit the jewel and shattered it.
And if she was ment to be in the past and the future, wouldn't that make her, her own ancestor?(And here I thought that Fry did it first.)

Yes, that's what I thought about the jewel as well. I didn't think it was a gift. I understood that it was inside her.

I think perhaps that the jewel will later turn all demons into something else. Perhaps Sesshomaru and Shippo will turn human and all animal-like demons will turn into animals.

I like my anti-demon meteor theory just cause it makes no sense at all.........

hmm..that's strange.

i think shikon jewel was passed down from generation to generation by kagome's lineage. kikyo told to burn jewel with her so it can go to other world but didnt say anything about being in her and carry with it.

i mean like part of past. she doesnt have to be ancestor. the dude(ancestor) re-names someone else as kagome instead rotfl. and that futurama episode was gross x_x

In the shot you have, Kagome's Grandfather had also said that it was a replica of the Shikon Jewel, and that it had a long family history, but the original had been lost for centuries.(Besides, look at your shot...Both Kagome and her Grandfather are holding a replica.)

I think the writer was implying that the jewel somehow followed Kikyo throughout the centuries diseased and returned with her when she was reborn. That is how it got inside Kagome.

he yeah Rumiko is reusing an idea of hers from an earlier one shot work she had...if you happen to find some old 1 shot movies of hers you will find one called Fire Starter....it is probably where the idea for InuYasha came from

Why would it take the demons

Because the Jewel's power reacts to demonic power. As we see when Kagome is with Kikyo in the belly of the Priestess eater, the jewel can be used to boost the powers of a priestess to destroy demons. My guess is that this may happen with Kagome when the jewel is complete and may effect all demonic life. But this is merely a guess.

But how do you get rid of Jewel's:confused:

Use your imagination. Perhaps it's power will be entirely spent in the proccess and thus rendered powerless.

the shikon no tama will disappear if a pure hearted wish (ie Inuyasha wanting to be human) is made on the jewel. Kikyo told him so 50 years ago.

Ok I think that humans got too advances in technology killing most of the demons what did not die when in hiding :bat:

Heres an idea, maybe demons like Inuyasha and other powerfull beings killed all the inferior demons, like the clouds of them that naraku controlled, and through demons 'pairing' with humans and having children their demon blood just got too deluted, and without the jewl the children/grandchrildren/greatgrandchildren of demons were eventually had so much human blood in comparison to demon blood that they lost demon powers and demons thus sank into myth, possibly with the exception of seculded demons in areas on earth currently unihabitted. Hell, maybe bigfoot is an ape demon and nesse is a dragon demon or something...
