An age old question with anime. Being 24 myself...and throughout most of my experiences, its nearly instinct for me to reply that i prefer Japanese, especially with Inuyasha. The Jap vocal cast is so much more emotional, experienced, and very succinct that you don't hear voice actors, you hear the characters. I personally cannot stand english inuyasha! i think they completey ruined it for american audiences. But thats my personal opinion... others might not be that comfortable or familiar with japanese culture, or understand alot of the spoken accents to indicate intention (i.e. humour, situational, flirtiness, etc.) They could well argue that english is much better for them to fully understand the context of things, as well as enjoy the show without having to read subtitles or do the seamingly endless study i'm doing (lol) by learning the langauge. Also others might argue with availability and prices, that they would rather settle for the english televised version. All are valid points of arguement and i thought it would be interesting to get everyones views. PS. ( if you want good jap releases with subtitles i can get them for a fraction of the english prices you pay at suncoast or silly best buy! So don't be afraid to ask. they're not bootlegs either!

this reminds me of the "which language" topic in the anime forum.

aside from all the missing inuyasha 'growls' and other little things, i've been pretty pleased with the inuyasha dub.. except for the recent eps. look at some of the other topics to see our impressions of the recent translations. specters. :keh:

I got with Jap. Cause in the dub with Lord Sesshomaru speaks i cant help say Treize. Or when Koga speaks i cant help say Duo x'D. Also Jap do put more emotion especially in Inu-yasha's voice. In Englsih all his tones are the same.

I've never gotten ahold of subs before, so I really can't say.

I love Sesshoumaru's voice though ;) Since I was never spoiled by Gundam, he's who I see first when I think of David Kaye. As for Kouga...I hear some of the things he says and try to imagine PICCOLO saying those and just laugh. I love Scott McNeil!
