Now after Much Thought i've come to the conclusion that Sesshomaru can defeat his father. Why is very simple he has done nearly everything we heard his father do but better. He did them with one hand, also "Ryokutse" caused the father's death right. Also the Backlash Wave defeated "Ryokutse" and Lord Sesshomaru has defeated the Backlash wave plenty of times not to Mention that Sesshomaru was only truly challenged by the fathers strongest sword the Sou'unga and sesshomaru was able to physically fight the sword with no weapon. Well i g2g so who agrees with my Opinion.

At the beginning when father and son are on the beach, Sessy has come for the sword(s) He puts his hand out ready to make the whip, but father takes off before Sesshomaru attacks. Looks to me like Sessy was ready to finish his old man off to take his swords

Exactly so you agree that Sesshomaru can defeat his father? Cause in all aspects of Comparison done by myoga nad totosai they always say Inu is far from father. When it comes down to Sessy he is always the brother they need like in movie 3.
"The only one alive able to wield the sword now is sesshomaru." Claims Totosai even when Inu had Sou'unga Sesshomaru had him beat after he used the Wind Scar against inu. have to add that wind Scar was killer.

I'm not too sure since I havn't seen the third yet. But I think Sesshomaru would whoop his ass. But his dad is a dog god or something isn't he?

eh, its hard for me to come to a conclusion as to if sesshomaru could beat him or not. when they showed inutaisho in movie 3 he was already beat down from what we assume is the battle with Ryokutse, only to then go on an assault against a legion of human warriors (who were waiting for him). it looks like he was set up and weakened drastically from multiple battles ( i'm having flashbacks of the batman knightfall series :p ).

also, after inuyasha beat Ryokutse he was able to use the wind scar at will and myoga said he had surpassed his father, but based on the beginning of movie 3, his father could do that easily to begin with. i will give sessy props tho, the struggle to kill naraku has pushed him to become stronger and stronger. hes not even in his prime yet.

Well said. The damn thing confuses me with age and power. In Movie 3 Totosai told him he was no where near the Taisho. When Myoga was trying to lie. So i assume Myoga lied to him when he mastered the wind scar. Remember totosai said that Sesshomaru is the only one left alive that can weild the sword. All in all Sesshomaru is at or even surpasessed daddy.
