about Kikyo

She obviously didnt lose all of her power if she was able to bind Inu Yasha to the tree, so how is it she wasnt able to tell that the demon that attacked her was not Inu Yasha?
I think she's always been a bit of a bitter bitch (say that 10 times fast :meh: ) I get the impression that she wasnt really into the whole miko, keeper of the jewel gig. Inu Yasha was more then just a bf, he was also a way out.
I think the whole dieing and being reanimated thing made Kikyo a lil psychotic. She's nuts *coughstalkercough* when it comes to Inu Yasha. She's a royal c*nt to Kagome -_-; In life she was s'posed to help ppl. Now she keeps herself alive by sucking up souls. WTF kinda priestess is that?

i feel sorry for her and believe her love for inuyasha was genuine. i remember her saying to herself observing inuyasha and looked at kagome, "i should've been the one who changed(softened) inuyasha if i was with him."

i guess she have too much grudge against naraku to care for other one's feelings or lives, now that she has a chance to kill the one who ruined everything she hold dear..it's hard to see anything else when you are blinded by hate.

i watched episode today that explains that very question. what episode are you on? maybe we can discuss this freely without worrying about spilling major storylines if i know your position better.

tsbaki(?) cursed her that if she ever falls in love with someone, she'll have tragic death. kikyo was too weakened(even though had power to refelct tsbaki's snake right into her eye), she couldnt sense 10s of demon hords passing right next to her.

see, thats fucked up. Kikyo should have been keen to the presence of demon energy. if she had been focusing, she would have been able to tell that the demons energy was different from that of Inu Yasha....unless she lost every shred of power she had, which would leave the jewel open to be easily stolen >.<

but it was the day she was gonna give inuyasha the jewerly..she was about to put on lipstick to look pretty for inuyasha ;_; inuyasha said stuff that only should those two know about before stomping her hand. she felt so betrayaled and stupid(to trust him) that she focused every ounce of her energy to stop him from getting away. there shouldnt have been any doubt that it wasnt inuyasha. even though, she could've, she didnt kill him either. not to mention, real inuyasha also attacked the shrine that made her no doubt that it was same inuyasha.

so she was so distracted that she never questioned Naraku was Inu Yasha and the terrorized village just backed that up. Jeez... then Inu Yasha really DID fuck her over cuz if she hadnt been so focused on him, she woulda seen the trouble in her road. :(

but how could kikyo knew about the existance of naraku? she only was aware after she was brought back to life and have them explained to her about naraku's deception. inuyasha was also decieved by naraku and he should've been the one who smelled her scent and realized it wasnt her.

as the series progresses and naraku becomes stronger he is more easily smelled and detected. maybe at the beginning of narakus creation he was still relativly weak and his scent was easily masked by being upwind causing inuyasha to not detect him for what he really was. as for kikyo, i think she detected the presense of a half demon approching her. how many half demons does she know? she would assume it was inuyasha coming to her and leave her guard down because she would have never expected him to betray her.

but Inu Yasha wasnt the 1st to come after the jewel ....

ok... the way I kinda see it its like this
Kikyo dies and the soul is reincarnated about 500 years later into Kagome. the soul somehow carrys the shikon no tama with it into the new body. because of the jewel, the soul ends up back where its last body died plus 50 years.
Kagome is the "true" owner of the soul, she was born with it. Kikyo was brought back thru magic by the witch Urasuai. her body is made of the dirt where she was buried. Urasuai resurected her body, but the soul didnt come back cuz it was in Kagome. Anyway, when it was all over Kagome had her soul, but the re-animated Kikyo kept a piece. And by the soul occupying its former body for a time Kikyo was re-created in her entirety. All her memories, feelings etc. that soul suckin zombie is the same Kikyo from 50 years ago, minus the being dead part -_-;
It sucks to be Kikyo. Kikyo devoted her entire life to spiritual persuits up until she met Inu Yasha. She had so much power she was able to bind the shikon jewel to her very soul. She wakes up after 50 years of being dead to a fuckarrow going on. the jewel is back, its been shattered, Inu Yasha has been freed her spell and her re incarnation is in the middle of all the shitz. can you say wtf? to stay alive she has to suck up human souls going completeley against the way she lived her life, ie protecting people. On top of all of that the stalkerish Onigumo is the demon Naraku and her death is his fault. Yeah, I think I'd be pretty pissed too. She's kind of a dark Kikyo. She says shes hangin around to kill Inu Yasha, but thats bullshit and we all know it. She still loves Inu Yasha. Its Naraku she's waitin for. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Kykyo needs to die again sesshomoru can do the job i'd love to see him kill her

It is also possible Naraku took something of Kikyo's (clothes probably) to disguise his scent

well, kikyo did tend to him from time to time so i would assume there would be something there with her scent on it. O_o
