in feudal japan, demons are everywhere. but in the future, there are only few small ones hiding around.

what i want to know is where are they now in the present age kagome is in. those demons dont die unless something kills them, but it seems they all disappeared..even if they aged, it's somewhat 400 year difference.

if it wasnt for kagome, naraku would never have gained so much power in such short period. that would eliminate major threat to demon race, and powerful as sess should have survived through the ages and live among humans but he didnt. both scenario didnt keep them alive. so i wonder what happened to them..?

it's funny that almost every episode whole village is massacred by hords of demons yet future was overcame by humans.

stop thinking so hard you might hurt yourself...and ill give you some ideas...1 they are jsut hiding out and blending in with society(aka vampires sightings, UFOs, aliens etc may be mistaken for them) 2 when civilization got more developed(hard to dodge a machine guns even if you are really fast) and all the wars and such that happened they were slowly killed off...

I would guess that many demons from the feudal era are either dead, hideing amongst the straights, or they hi-tailed it back to demon world.

Yusuke came n bussed em good ossifer :p

i dont think they hightailed back to their own world because they have such pride that they rather die than let mortals run the world they choose to live in. and some demons need humans to survive(to exercise their evil desire or eat the flesh or whatever).

there are plenty of vampire stories in japan too you know...and what says that they werent in japan 500 years ago...blending into society and stuff also the fact they could goto areas where they werent as known of and more controllable areas (aka westernized monsters as you said)...if my kind was being killed off that much at that time i sure as hell wouldnt stay there you know :-p

what was the explanation they used in yu yu hakusho? didn't King Yama win a war against the demons and then banished them all to the demon world? i think that was part of the mythology and how the world finally turned around to a more stable state.

oh grow up :p it's same none sense vampire/werewolf story i heard it from matrix reloaded.

Oracle:Of course you have. Every time you've heard someone say they saw a ghost or an angel, every story you've ever heard about vampires, werewolves or aliens is the system assimilating some program that's doing something they're not supposed to be doing.
Neo:Programs hacking programs. why?
Oracle:They have their reasons but usually a program chooses exile when it faces deletion.
Neo:And why would a program be deleted?
Oracle:Maybe it breaks down. Maybe a better program is created to replace it. Happens all the time. And when it does, a program can either choose to hide here or return to the source.
i'm not impressed ;p

read the highlight as one sentence, not the whole cyborg crap. compare your post and that with WHEN WHERE WHO WHAT. i dont see a one damn difference. far as i can tell, vampire stories are still mythological, NOT realistic.

This is where the concept of various demon classes come in to play from a variety of religions. Vampires and Werefolk are argueably demons as well. They're certainly preturnatural creatures not of "God".
King Yama is the Lord of Hell on one religion, Satan/Lucifer in others. Either way it all ends w/ the demons being banished to hell.

my point was based on japanese' belief that created inuyasha. that's why yuyuhakusho's war of demons made sense than some foreign belief that had nothing to do with it.

If you want things on King Yama you must look in Chinese religion. Dragon Ball and Saiyuki are based off a Chinese legend. A monk was sent from a temple in China to India to retreive a scroll. King Yama lorded over the spirits. We tend to call many thing "demons" even if they don't really qualify. The untranslated word for what Kurama is Youkai. I believe it is translated lossly as earth spirit or animal spirit.

I have that legend in book form! It was written in the the mid 500's, BC. It's really good.
