I didnt have time to post this earlier so its a bit late.

1st I'd like to have everyone have their own individual moment of silence for the people that were lost on that day in 2001.

However I don't wish to make this a feel sorry type post, I'd like to miake this post a little brighter than that, something that would be more enjoyable. So here is where you put your imagination to work.

Forget the freedom tower, say it never formed in someone's mind. Lets say you were given the job to make the decision on what to build on ground zero, you would be given any amount of money to do so, whatever it took. what would you build?

--------------------------------------------
As for me, I'd put a spin on Donald Trump's Idea. I would rebuild the twin towers to appear exactly like the former, just one floor higher, and better constructed of course. On both towers, on the floors that were hit I would make a museum dedicated to 9/11. Each floor would have a veitnam memorial-like wall with the names of each person that were on the former WTC's floors that were never found. Out front I would place an elaborate sculpture made out of stone or iron of a huge fire engine with fire fighters in action. The NYFD logo imprinted on the stone platform it would be placed on, with the names of all the figher fighters that were lost in the tragedy engraved on it.

It's still hard to think about. I just remember watching tv and realizing it wasnt debris falling from the buildings it was people jumping. that image will stay with me forever.

That's an awesome idea DX.

My idea is two towers just like the old ones, only connected by walk ways and at the top they would combine. In each walk way would be the names of all people that lost their lives that day and at the top the ones never found along with a statue of a policeman and a fireman. The top could also be a museum for 9/11.

I love your re-building suggestion. There is no need to censor/tone down the past. We must cope with the events not pretend or sugar coat.
