In the spirit of Halloween :p whats yer fav monster? What book/movie/whatever does it come from and what makes it so scary?

for me its a toss up between Tak and It. Both monsters from the mind of Stephen King (Desperation is being made into a mini series now and It was made as a mini series in 1990) It was the books that endeared me to the monsters tho, not the movies. Adaptations of Kings novels generally are disapointing with the rare exceptions of something like Shawshank or Green Mile.
It is a shapechanger, a mind reader. It takes the form of the thing you fear most and then feeds off your emotional response before it kills you. It likes to bite and chew and rip off limbs before It kills ya too. Torture is the name of the game for this eternal entity. Pretty scarry shitz 'specially since she likes to dine on kids.
Tak Desperation Tak, not Regulators Tak, also scared the crap outta me. Another eternal entity (personally I think he came out of the Todash Darkness which just adds to the scare). Tak jumps into yer body and takes over in a nasty way. He cant stay in any one body too long. His victems grow and bloat and burst. Pretty sick shit.
Both of these villans posess a higher intellegence and are for all intensive perposes immortal.

So what scares you?

I was scared of a lot of things, especially as a kid. But for some reason Freddy Kruger always scared me most. It's probably the fact that I thought he really could get me in my dreams, and those freaky claws. I haven't watched any Friday the 13th movies recently, and Freddy vs. Jason wasn't all that great. Although, still kind of creepy.

Does it have to be a movie monster? or just any monster in general?

I'm going to say that I have an affinity towards werewolves.. I dont honestly know why.. but theres just something about them

I rather like a lot of monsters from mythology aswell.

A neighbor of mine is scared to death of clowns. My dad gave me a ballon with a clown on it for my birthday once and she jumped when she saw it.

I remember that cartoon, it's terrible.
