Last night, within the Inuyasha thread on Sesshomaru's swords, Ladywriter and I carried on a rigid debate that had been on for some time now between myself and Sledg. Apparently, I said something that she took offense to. While I did apologize for it, I apparently didn't apologize to the satisfaction of Ladywriter. She got mad again and locked the thread.

Therefore, I'll apologize to her again right here. For what I said, Ladywriter, you have my deepest apologies. As an adult, I am most willing to admit when I've crossed the line. If you are willing to apologize for threatening me, I'd be willing to call it truce and never speak of this again.
:argue:  :fireman:

The problem was not the argument that you were making, it was the manner in which you were presenting ideas and information. You shouldn't think that you are the only person that has been rebuked for posting in such a way, it's not the first time and probably not the last. Sometimes people get so caught up in what they are trying to say, they cease to pay attention to how they're wording it. When you start off with "you" such as "you don't understand" etc, it becomes a personal attack and generally that tends to incite flames. Nobody likes to be condecended too, espically members of the over 30 club :meh:
Like I said, you can present your ideas and information without feeling like you need to argue with or over-ride someone else to get a point across. You have good and creative ideas, you don't have to be argumentitive to get those ideas out there.
I like ac to be a comfy place where we can all hang out without having to worry about when the drama llama is gonna stroll by. It is my job as an administrator to keep the place on a happy level. *releases more ac gas* The members here give each other a nice level of respect that is difficult to find on other forums. It is like that because me n sledge n dubie n vinnie and now even Sabe (and all the great members) have made and kept it that way. It's our job to keep up that level of respect amongst the members while preserving the integrity of the forums; we don't like crap posts around here either, espically in good threads. I'm sure if you ask around some of the members will tell you that I can be a hard ass ^_^; but I have my reasons. They're still here and they're pretty happy so...
Anyhoo, apoligies aren't necessary. I think the whole arguement is moot, let's blame it on grammer and syntax and "move along there's nothing to see here."
If it takes me a while to reply to something ya just gotta hang in their and wait for me. I get bizy and don't have time to post depending on the time of day. I have 2 kids, sledge, an obese dog, 2 cats, a home and garden to take care of on top of the websites (and making a lil time every now and then to say screw it all and play a vid game or watch a bunch of anime ^_^; )

I didn't want to have to lock the thread, but before you posted in it again, I wanted you to evaluate your posts.;) The thread is too good to just throw out so I'll tell ya what I'll unlock it and we can get back to worshiping the awsome powers of Sesshomaru sama!

Well said. It is agreed. I would like to say that I haven't enjoyed a forum so much ever since Battle.net first came out and THEY didn't have smileys that rocked like these!
:la: :spank: :jab: :notworth: :glomp: <----Fun! :D
:jawdrop: <---my reaction to this one--->:sex:

LOL! Perhaps the debate got more rigid than it should have. Lets forget it and have some fun. My apologies to all for having to watch.

*opens mouth to say something about Lady's behavior but decides against it*

*decides not to post this at all*

Oh crap.

(Joke. This is a joke, you know, to lighten the mood. Not that it's really necissary at this point because things have seemed to have been worked out. For once :meh: )

(Note: That last part is also a joke. Don't ban me.)

The holsters were oiled to deeply for even this Philistine sun to crack. The stocks of the guns were sandalwood, yellow and finely grained.

That quote from one of my favorite novels fits perfectly.
