I refered a very close friend of mine to come and look at a few threads here on ac.

I always thought it was spelled cliqs. Anyway, I gues groups are:

Newbies
n00bs
Moderators
Oldschool members
Newbies who aare thought of as old school

i think alot may have to do with old school, age groups, genders...

I wish i was in a cliq/click/ whatever.. i am never cool enough to be in one.... ehhh oh well.

More or less, yeah. You could also break those two groups up into a few others, like the newbies 18+ we had going for a while and the newbies 15 and down. Among the old-school members you'll find distinctions like...GRX or not-GRX.

All depends on how far you want to break it down. It's not like there's any open animosity though (except against GRX), so it doesn't really matter that much.

As noted I haven't noted any sort of groups on the forums. Sure there are us old school members and newbs but after awhile you don't even notice that line anymore that distinguishes us. Then again I'm not good at noticing things

There is definantly an closeness within the Old Skool ranks. I mean hell, we were here when AC with nothing... just a little place on spaceports with 7-10 active members. We've been though the various ups and downs of this forum and have stuck it out to the end. Of course there is gonna be that bond, it cant be helped. but as far as being a "clique", I couldn't really agree on that. although the dictioanry definition is doesnt have any bad connotations, to me a clique is really a group of people who are close but really arent accepting of anyone else outside the group. I don't know about the other Old skool pack but I have enjoyed some of the relatively "newer" people such as Godgrave, Az, Sabe, etc.

Despite what some of you think, the whole clique among old members is not entirely accurate since some of us oldbies have not always gotten along. :p Once upon a time, DX and Saiel were mortal enemies for example. Its just some of us have been friends for years, and thats just how it is...

thats about how I see it. I think I've talked more w/ Guyver, Double G and Sabe then some ppl that have been here longer then them. there are some old skool kitties that I've just known forever

For real... this forum should have died plenty of times, but it never did. It survived, and that bond is just something that is there. I think maybe some people see it as a clique because they just dont know what we've all been through together here. There is no doubt if you try to knock on an old skool you will get ransacked... but it all goes back to the same thing.

The AC family as a whole is a mixture of old and new. Some people really dont fit in and some people do. Its how things work in life.

Ehh, I wouldn't say we have cliques, really. I know alot of us old-skools are definitely alot more defined than most of the people who have only been here a year or less. At least to me, they all seem too bland. I dunno, maybe I'll get to know them alittle better throughout time.

When a newcomer posts, he/she isn't given the slightest chance to feel alienated and instead, finds a comfort zone much easily. This's because, I think and I've said it before, everyone here is warm. As far as 'clicks' go, I haven't really noticed ... but what I gather instead, is that everyone on AC is like a big bunch of good friends ^_^
