I watched this anime today and well it is a cross between Guyver and the Terminator.

Three teens travel from the future to Japan 2007 (I believe) to stop WW3 that wipes out 2/3 people from the face of the planet. Generators are used in the future to evolve mankind into its future. Generators are humans that have had genetic manipulation to give them the ability to transform into battle ready beings and come in various shapes and sizes. The birth of generators is believed to have caused the war that lead to the devastation. So these teens come back with the intent of stopping the creator of the generator cells from discovering the key to making generators to prevent the suffering. Gawl is a 3rd generation generator that acts as the bodyguard that takes out any other generator that jumps back in time. But the attacks become more and more frequent and Gawl?s health/lifespan is used as compensation. Theres a lot of humour in the series between Gawl and the girl they stay with as shes desperate to find out why Gawl disappears every time theres a flash in the sky, as well as being able to jump 50 feet in the air.

Heres the good part, if the heros can jump back in time why cant the bad guys go further, ...... they have this makes it interesting as who can be trusted if events have been set into motion, and Gawl might just be the chess piece to be used in putting the world into checkmate for WW3.

With string character development in a short series this anime is top class.

Animation: 9 (Not brilliant, but very good)
Action: 8 (Good but often short battles)
Story: 10 (Great plot twists)
Humour: 8 (The insults are hilarious)
Characters 9 (Each character is thought out)
Overall: 8.8
