Satome Kazuya is a poor college kid just scraping enough money together to pay his rent. Although he has these humble beginnings, his dream is to one day create an artificial intelligence, however, this dream is not going well. Every single one of his models has failed to date. All that changes, however, when his best friend/number one rival gives him a special CD that allows him to accidently order a maid doll. What arrives at his apartment, however, is the answer to all his problems.

Hand Maid May follows the well versed formula of "single bumbling guy is surrounded by many beautiful women, all of whom want him for themselves". Although it is done very well in this case, it is not something brand new. Its basically Love Hina with a mechanical squid. Thats not to say it should be passed up, though. All of the basic "stats" that are ranked (animation, plot, voice actors, ect.) are good, but not as good as other animes which have similar features.

One dynamic in the sereis which is interesting reminds me somewhat of Chobits. The dynamic is one of: will he fall in love with the robot who is programmed to like him or the real girl who likes him. This series is for those who feel like watching a quirky romance anime (with a little ecchi thrown in). Although the scores are low, the enjoyment factor is higher than it would seem. (Enjoyment score 9.2/10)
