Platform: DVD
Genre: Comedy
Publisher: Universal Studios
Director: Sofia Coppola
Released: 2003

Personally, I enjoyed this movie very much. It has some really funny scenes, and while it isn't that fast paced it doesn't get boring, although some scenes are a bit dragged out.

Plot: 9/10

Bob is a tired actor in Japan to shoot a whiskey commercial, and to get away from his wife for a while. Charlotte is the wife of a photographer who came to Japan while her husband does some work. As fate will have it, they meet, and end up in a funny and interesting friendship in this country that is VERY different from what they are used to.

Acting: 10/10

Excellent. Bill Murray and Scarlett Johnansson are both amazing at not overacting, and make us believe that they actually were two people literally "Lost In Translation."

Music: 10/10

Fitting and effective. I particularly enjoyed the man singing God Save The Queen in the Japanese club.

Special Effects: N/A

This movie doesn't exactly use SFX, except for a scene when a man uses something that resembles a laser gun.

Editing: 8/10

This was generally well edited, except, as I mentioned before, some scenes that were dragged out a little too long.

Overall: 9/10

This was a funny and entertaining movie. I recommend it to anyone who likes a good look at differences between cultures, a good drama, and some good comedy.
