While digging maintenance tunnels under London a work crew comes to a sudden halt as they breach an old cavern. Before they realize what they have come across, a dragon awakens in the old cavern and rises to the surface in flames.

Soon after that initial incident, reports of dragons became abundant and a new plague was released upon the earth. The scientists had discovered the dragons cycle. To consume and eat until the planet was bare and then sleep and wait as the earth replenishes. It was too late for man, no arsenal could stop them. They multiplied so incredibly fast that their shear number made them unbeatable. The world was there?s now.

Twenty years later, some humans are still struggling to survive. Small colonies stretched upon the surface of the planet, but still the dragons hunger would not end. The dragons were starving. With the world nearly depleted of their feast, the reign of the dragons was coming to an end. And a small group of humans want to ensure that it does.

Original plot and good acting makes this a good movie to watch. Excellent special effects with the dragons and action scenes.

Starring: Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, Gerard Butler, Izabella Scorupco, Alexander Siddig, Scott James Moutter, Doug Cockle, David Kennedy.
