But remember your line of argument that Kuwabara can take a beating like no other, which is a sign of his "strength". I am not one to measure strength merely on physical prowess, but more on the ability to use one's prowess in a fight. (And I haven't seen it in like months. Gah. It's horrible.)

Well yes, but if any of them run out of energy (be it spirit or otherwise) they won't be able to do anything either and will also ultimately die. You can't punch and block without energy.

HE and Yusuke, because if you take Yusuke out and changed the plural verb to singular, you would have "he was", instead of "him was." Which we all know is incorrect. Back to the energy comment: Without ANY energy, even Kuwabara couldn't fight. You are right, Yusuke and Kuwabara couldn't harness their spirit energy (which they had) before Yusuke became a spirit detective and Kuwabara competed in Genkai's tournament. But they still needed basic energy to do anything. You must agree with me on this point; if they do not eat, they cannot fight because they have no energy. And now to the challenge of Kurama "running out" of energy and therefore losing control over plants, he was not a hoodlem, running about beating the snot out of people. Correct. But, you also said yourself that he is the tactical one. Yes, Kuwabara (because I feel that you are basing most of your conjectures on him) has spirit energy, and when that fails, he can also throw a punch. But all of this is to no avail if he gets wiped out before he even gets a chance to fight, because he does not rely on tactics, but instead on mere "strength." It's one thing to have talent and ability, but if you do not know how to maximize that talent and ability, it's all for naught.

Now if the question is "If all of team Urameshi was placed in an iron cage and forced to fist fight each other until only one was left, who would survive?" I would say Yusuke. Remember in the beginning when he died, Kuwabara was upset and asked "Who will pound me?" Or something like that.

i would normaly say hiei or kurama but because i only say kurama is because i want to prove he's not the suckiest fighter one the team. but i already know that hiei is one of the stronger ones.

but remember its a physical fight and even if kurama found a flaw in kuwabara's technique (which is always flawed) he cant deliver a punch to knock kazuma down and if hiei lost his blade kuwabara will whup him to and maybe yusuke if there is no spirit energy involve or tapping into demon blood

He may not have known, but that doesn't mean anything. It's just one of those things that gives him his latent abilities. Blood is blood. Look at what happens when he's in a pinch; his anger flares awakening his demon half, and it gives him energy enough to compleate the task at hand. Kinda like InuYasha...

Yomi still spanked him in the end. Remember Yomi just fought Shura and wasted a lot of energy cause remember shura's energy rivaled yusuke the day he was born. Thats like fighting two yusuke's back to back right. And yusuke was never a regular kid he had demon blood flowing through his veins. Kuwabara now can fight Yusuke physically cause he has powers too. And his defense is way higher than yusuke's yusuke can't take the beatings kuwabara got.

Toguro Punched him in his heart and he lived and he fell on his knees. Toguro punched Yusuke in his arm and he went flying. Now Sensui broke yusuke's bones WOW!!! Kuwabara got his bones broken by those M's and he still got up to fight the strongest member of Jin's team. Yusuke had demon blood flowing through his veins thats why he whooped Kuwabara back then. Kuwabara is also a street fighter he owns the saryasky turf, and if he wanted he could own the town.

actually, yusuke owned saryoski juniour high hisself, he had no gang like kuwabara or all the other kids. yusuke owned the town the school everyone was afraid of him.his demon power didnt awaken until sensui killed him so stop saying that. why do you think he had spirit energy the whole half of the series if he would of had his demon blood back then he woulda had demon energy, and he woulda wooped rando,suzaku and toguro easily.ill give kuwabara that, he is the strongest human after sensui dies.but only because yusuke is a demon now.

but he didn't really have the demon power until he really had to use it and even then he didn't know he was part demon. i mean he was a tipical bully before then as they progressed into the series he became less but then he had to use his energy more and more to protect his friends and all the inoccent people in his home town. no one knew that he was part demon until he died because of sensui and his soul didn't come out of his body.

Kurama would lose big time... against probably anybody. Everybody already knows Kurama's methods of attack, and the weapons he uses. So I don't think any of them would let Kurama get an attack in.

But as much as I like Hiei, I think Yusuke is the strongest.

Lets see... Genkai could take Yusuke or Kuwabara, maybe Kurama but definitely not Hiei. Hiei has the plus of being super speedy and has the control of the Dragon. Hiei in my opinion is the strongest. The only reason Yusuke beat him in the early episodes is because he got lsmart all of a sudden and shot him from behind using that special mirror.(name escapes me at the moment.) Has Hiei ever lost a fight in the show?

The Forlorn Hope was the name of the mirror. Hiei has lost Just don't remember when.

I'm Talking Physical fight here. If they had to no Spirit energy Left and they had to fight. Kuwa would Dominate all.

He still wouldn't win Kuwabara. Yusuke beat Kuwa up on an almost daily basis before he became a spirit detective. That was just regular fighting. Hiei would win over them all because he still has the speed factor. When you are able to hit someone with extreme speed, it kinda packs a big 'umph'.

Flying Monkey, I think we are talking about a simple brawl. That means no spirit energy at all. Hiei would surely win. Where's your proof that Genkai would have been the strongest? What do you have to back it up?

I think Kurama is the strongest - why? Well to me it doesn't matter how much sheer power one's has but how one uses it. In other words Kurama is the strongest because of his intlect not to say he isn't powerful in other ways because let's face it... Youko is a ledgend.

I think the rock over there in the background is the strongest! heheheh
