yusuke gets his ass whooped as a demon until his ancestor/demon father posseses him and his demon hair gets white and he gives sensui the most brutal ass whooping in all of yu yu hakusho history even more than all of kuwabara's ass kickings combined and he mentally whoops yusuke for control of his body when yusuke wants him to leave he says shut up and go to your corner and banishes yusuke to a dark place in his mind and after killing sensui gives yusuke control again and yusuke cries for sensui to get healed so they can fight again and itsuki takes sensui and explains the situation of sensui death how hes going to die in 6 months any way and he vows to kill whoever possesed him and they leave demon world kurama cuts his hair and his demonic markings vanish and he meets the detective that came before sensui

Yusuke was not even close to sensui in power. Even when he becomes demon he still isnt enough only when Raizen comes he is strong enough to handle shinobu.
